ParticipantIs this how the Henry joy-ride happens? Because Snowing are trying to show just how cool they are by letting a 13 year old drive the truck? ::facepalm::

ParticipantAnd MRJ makes even more money as yet another episode goes by where he has to be listed in the credits, since he’s still a full time cast member, even though he won’t be appearing in the episode at all. I’m not gonna lie…..as much as that sucks to know (I’d rather him be ON my TV screen), I’d really enjoy that type of job right now, LOL #moneyfornothing
I dunno how TV contracts typically work. Like, I know Meghan was in the opening credits for the whole of S2 (just checked and she was still there in 222), but hers was a case of the character getting sidelined, not killed, and it was a development mid-season, so it’d make sense that they’d still pay her out as per contract because they screwed her over. But if Neal’s death was planned pre-season, is that a thing that would warrant altering MRJ’s contract if he’s already signed one for the full season previously? Or do contracts not get re-negotiated like that, so they were stuck with paying him a full season anyway?

ParticipantOH HAY! I wrote an essay! Except that it’s super outdated now that 3B has started airing, but I think some of the core arguments still have some merit. There are reasons I don’t write more (because I just keep going and going…). Anyway, here’s my meta! http://textbookone.tumblr.com/post/82111090303/super-outdated-discussions-about-shipping-preferences

Well can be that if they decided to do before season but to avoid spoilers they simply decided to make him a full year contract, especially because he wouldnt be able to look for anything else is like a compensation, but maybe Lisa knows the better about tv contracts.

I’m not 100% sure on this but I do remember when the House idiots wrote JMo off that show years ago, they still had to pay her for the season even though they wrote her off in early in season 6. Since ABC upped MRJ to series regular way before the start of S3, contractually they should have to pay him for the entire season no matter what unless they changed something in his contract halfway through which I wouldn’t put past the tools at ABC (though if the two trolls knew early that Neal wasn’t going to be around for the last part of S3, I don’t know why they would have upped him to series regular in the first place). It’s all a bit confusing and I’d rather think about him making money by being away from the train wreck that is becoming this show than to think about them actually going through with changing a contract that was probably signed last summer. #stupidisasstupiddoes #toolshed #ABCFail

yeah, that is a good thought, receive money and simply being on you house without doing much, unless they decided like after 304, bc on 306 there is that emma line to neal, about death, and was writen by the 2 trolls.
