i asked my friend a crazy about WOT and ex ouat fan , until 315, and she sent me some curiosities, but both her and me think that there is no hope, that they wouldnt go that way. either way the post, sorry is to big, has many real descriptions, is posted on the theory thread.

I admit there is something very fishy and off about the way it all went down out in social media land. I don’t know if ABC stuck their noses in, if MRJ asked to be let out of his contract because he was unhappy with his story or with how he was treated on Twitter, if A and E decided to do a 180 on the story, no idea. There is something strange but I think it has to do with the business side of TV–not the story.

Shouldn’t the business side be all about saving face though? So even if there was animosity with the powers that be, you still send a gracious tweet about how much you loved working with everyone and how you’re gonna miss them, and you say that ASAP after the ep airs.

I’m glad so many people have hope. I just can’t be one of them.

It’s OK. If he doesn’t come back, you don’t get disappointed all over again. If he does come back you’re super amazingly surprised. So having no hope is sort of a win/win situation. 😉

You could be right RG. It could be the business side of TV but that doesn’t explain why none of his cast mates have acknowledged him leaving. Surely ABC wouldn’t stop them from doing that. There would be no reason to ask that of them.

Heather thinks it’s a sign of support for MJR if it was ABC, a censure against ABC I guess.

I don’t know, though. I’m conflicted over all of it.

I suppose they could have called or said goodbye on set and not done it publicly on Twitter. They may not understand how the fans would see that.

If it was a sort of censure against them in support of MRJ would they still be promoting episodes?. the only people who have said anything “officially” is MRJ himself and A&E via twitter or interview. Idk, it’s just too fishy for me.  I can understand your lack of hope. I’ve also struggled but it just doesn’t add up for me yet. I have to at least wait for finale.

ABC still does give them their paycheck, though. It’s a silent protest without angering TPTB.

I dont get how you can still watch this show, rg. I mean I never believed for a second that neal would stay dead and I still cant bring myself to watch because y’all are saying that he really is dead.

If I believed this to be really really true I wouldn’t even bother with the forums… I would just quit cold turky.

Its only because a&e were so amazingly good up till now that I cant bring myself to believe that they would ever kill off a character like Bae with a name like Baelfire, and all thatvstory potenial.

This is why, although I stopped watching the actual show, I am still … Here

Because I still love some aspects of this show. Rumple is still my favorite. I still believe in Rumbelle. I still like watching Snow and Charming and Emma and Belle and Regina and Hook and Henry. Because I’ve spent so much of my time devoted to this show and this forum that I can’t walk away without seeing how it plays out.

I’m angry. I’m hurt. I’m disillusioned. But I’m going to see it through to the end of this season and then I’ll make my choice to stay or go.

But I believe he is dead. He’ll turn up in 322 in a flashback or AU-dream sequence, but he’s dead. He’s not coming back.

No one will ever convince me that nothing was going on behind the scenes before MRJ left the show. This cast was tighter than all get out just a few months ago during the NL arc and now, they barely tweet anything about the show and don’t even tweet each other anymore. Something is fishy with this whole thing and it is really starting to make me upset. Why won’t they say anything? Why did Josh’s BTS pictures stop (my theory on that one…he got horrible reactions to the Neal funeral pic and decided to stop posting them)? Why doesn’t anyone live tweet anymore? Why are Keegan, Raphael, Michael Coleman, Lee Arenburg, and random other 2nd tier character actors doing all the tweeting about the show lately?! There’s too much evidence to the contrary for me to believe that MRJ’s exit was for ‘storyline reasons’. Personally, I really do think ABC wanted him gone and the main cast isn’t happy about it. Actors are used to coming and going from projects so why is this whole scenario playing out in such a shady way?

BTW-I would appreciate hearing something down the line about how the cast was great to him away from social media, that they all called or texted him after the episode, or heck, that they threw him a goodbye party in Vancouver. The problem I have with the lack of social media response is that Scandal also killed off a main character a while back and the ENTIRE CAST was still tweeting with the guy whose character died the NIGHT his death was confirmed and they still tweet with him now! They were all great about it so there is a way to be gracious about a fellow cast mate leaving a show without ruining anything for the rest of the fans or the story. The fact that this OUAT cast, who by all accounts are some of the nicest people on the planet, haven’t said ANYTHING about it or to MRJ (aside from a very few comments from non main actors) is what makes me believe something fishy is going on. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck…..there’s usually a duck involved somewhere that isn’t quacking up the whole story for us. *still annoyed by this situation* (Pardon my duck analogy, LOL)

Ultimately, that’s my view as well. ABC wanted him out for PR and Buzz and so it was a quiet meeting in an office somewhere between A and E, MRJ and an ABC rep. MRJ is a gracious man who bowed out because he knows he can go elsewhere.

There was no reason to make him a regular only to kill him 15 episodes in
