ParticipantI don’t think they expect you to or care for you to. Clearly they have the fan bases they wish to appease. It was semi-fun while it lasted, season 1 and 2 I really enjoy the ride. I just waiting to see what MRJ is in next, I heard his performance in Road to Paloma was amazing and spot on. I see good things in his future, good things and better shows that will give him the work he was cut out to do.

Participantto me Emma losing her powers if she kisses Hook, symbolizes the show losing its powers by going the CS route. Or even the WAY their going the CS route. It just seems very forced to me, with all of these other characters having to say its happening (Regina, Tink etc) rather than just watching it happen. Also very disappointed Hook didn’t give up the truth about Ariel, seems misleading to me.

ParticipantWhoa, whoa, whoa, WHOA! They assassinated Neal to make way for a critical storyline involving Hook and Emma figuring out how to kiss each other?!!! The CS crack theories are not crack? This entire season will hinge on the closed set kiss as totally #spoiler’ed everywhere?!
Unreal.
What a steaming, putrid pile of excrement this show became overnight. I want my 2.5+ years back.

ParticipantFinally got around to watching it. The bit that seriously pissed me off was Emma saying she was over living in the past. Neal’s barely cold in the ground for 24 hours and they gave Emma that line? REALLY? That’s just…I can’t even with how cold that line was. The only way it will be even remotely acceptable is if it was foreshadowing for her past coming back to her (again).
They did make a point of Regina saying that even things she couldn’t do, Emma probably could, and then they proved it. So really, all magical bets could potentially be off where Emma is concerned. Things that aren’t supposed to be possible she can still do them. *cough*turningbacktimeandraisingthedead*cough*
Here’s the thing about Emma smiling at Hook and inviting him along to dinner at the end…the only reason she was starting to see another side of him is because of the LIES he told them about the situation with Eric and Ariel. If they’re seriously gonna leave things like that and not have Emma find out he lied to her face to protect his own arse, (knowing that they’d quite rightly not think much of him if they knew the truth, that he didn’t help reunite Ariel with Eric at all, he chose to kill Blackbeard and take his ship back instead), then that is a joke. Would they seriously allow Emma to fall for the fradulent version of someone and never have her find out about their lies? The way they’re writing the story right now, who the hell knows, but I’d like to think that they wouldn’t do that to Emma. She’s their heroine and she deserves an HONEST love. This episode continued to paint Hook as being selfish and secretive, (and I love his arsehole pirate side, so I actually enjoyed him quite a bit in this ep), and the side that Emma started to see in a different light wasn’t genuine, (she accused him of being modest in that situation, I mean come on) so I’m still unconvinced that they’re gonna end up together. If they’re gonna keep piling up Hook’s secrets and lies, sooner or later, they’ll all have to come tumbling down around him. I hope. And then Emma will be pissed that he’d kept so much from her. I hope. That would be the logical way to have this story resolve itself, without assassinating Emma’s character.

ParticipantSo in 318 we have Cora’s ghost. In the finale we have Marian. And we know they wanted Jamie Dornan back. If we don’t see Neal again in some way, shape or form before season’s end, I may or may not pitch an EPIC fit, because they do seem to be working with a theme here.

ParticipantPhee even if the truth comes out, the way they writing it she wouldn’t even care,. It would just be some angst argument about you need to be honest because relationships are about trusting one another, blah, blah, blah. some sort of mini psuedo break up that leads to flashback/conflict and psuedo mini make-up.
I’m just sad Neal had to be sacrifice for this, he could have lived and been a part of Henry life and found love else where. Emma and Neal could have moved on. But back then I think the writers wanted Emma and Neal to be each others true love however things happen, shipping happen, media happen, and higher up happen and alas this is what came to be, this is what is left over.
I feel that season 1 was the main course and now this is just the scraps. A bone with a few shards of meat attached to it.

ParticipantHello everyone, good morning.
This show simply lost it, not only the writing is bad, they dont have connection, so next week we will see the candle, really, so not only they can speak with the death, they could have spoke with Rumple, but the candle still exists and no one remenbered to use it to save neal, i dont know like using neal life and the ww life. I guess because of plot.
I said yesterday in another place, and im going to repeat it, something happened during S3A, if was network pressure or actor asking out, the way the episodes are being shown, appears to me that shows something made in a rush, like they had to redo all the thinking they had for S3B, and this thing is the result, they contradict each other every episode, in fact there are characters that say something in one episode and then on the next something completely diferent, heck even on the same episode they show emma doing one thing and then making another. So they had amirror to see people and could not try to see where was neal on the mirror? In fact emma is so ooc that she is the character i hate more in the show right now.
Just hope they dont bring Neal/Bae not in young and not in adult, both MRJ and Dylan should stay away from the crap this has become.

ParticipantSpeaking of jumping the shark, Hook is the Fonz. Initially a reoccurring character in leather, Representing different values, Takes over the show & changes its course.
This is the most apt description of what’s happened so far. Hook is completely the Fonz! Instead of having a trademark saying he has his eyebrow thing. Just another snarky question to add to my never ending list of questions I’d love to ask A&E one day.
