Also why does Hook think Emma is avoiding him when it’s only been “almost a full day” since their kiss (basing that time frame on Rumple saying he and Belle had been married “almost a full day” and the CS kiss happened at the same time as the wedding). Was Hook expecting Emma to suddenly be attached to his hip?

Of course he was. His experience with women is having them fall at his feet, (sometimes because they had too much booze in them to actually be able to stand, but falling for him nonetheless), and his last actual meaningful relationship, Milah, ditched her husband, her kid, and her home at the drop of a hat to devote herself to being with him 24/7. It may annoy me how he’s bugging Emma, it annoys me to see him act pathetic with the puppy eyes, but at least it’s true to character in the sense that he honestly wouldn’t be expecting her to be so resistant, given his previous experience with women.

So I decided that 401 with Neal would have gone mostly the same, but instead of Hook pestering Emma, Neal would have been understanding and kind and sympathetic and told her to take her time and get her bearings. And when Emma said have patience, he wouldn’t have made an off hand comment about being patient until a monster came and killed him. Neal would have understood.

Neal wouldn’t have tried to come onto her in the first place because he understands that that’s not a thing she needs on top of the current situation.

Also, I wonder if Neal might have gone to seek out Regina? He’d care about her being messed up because that has the knock on effect of Henry (and Emma) being upset, so after giving her some time to chill out a bit, he might have gone to find her and been all, “Look, it sucks when your parent is going all evil and lashing out at everyone, you and I both know that, and our kid shouldn’t have to deal with that, so I know it’s not always easy to make the right choices, but please just think before you do anything nuts and end up alienating Henry for 300 years.” Of course, then they couldn’t have her go and do the nutty thing without it making her look worse, so that might not have worked in the grand scheme, but it woulda been nice to see Neal and Regina almost bonding over the evil parent situation they both know so well.

You mean Emma has a life, a family, and a reason to get up in the morning beyond existing just to please Hook? Gee, what is Hook going to do if Emma ever decides to take her role as town sherif seriously? Would he actually have to get a real job, now that he’s homeless and has supposedly given up piracy?

Accurate. Neal really loved Emma. He said he’d always care about her. But he wasn’t about to invade her personal space or to hound her to make sure she knew it. He said if she didn’t meet him for lunch, then he’d quit bugging her. He was true to his word, unlike Hook said he’d back off his pursuit of Emma, for Henry’s sake, but then did the exact opposite as he said he would.

Again, when the AU version is a hundred times greater than the canon. *sigh*
Phee, you captured Neal’s voice so perfectly, I felt like I were hearing him speak with words Neal would actually say, true to his character (before he went all OOC). And that is exactly what Neal would do, just after he checked on Henry first. He would try and keep the peace. He wouldn’t just follow Emma about. Nope. Neal wasn’t just a one-note love interest. He was a father first. He was a son next. He was a faithful friend to the end. That is actually in keeping with how we saw Neal act in S3a. He had a mission: to save his son. He didn’t waste time flirting with Emma or extorting kisses from her. He got straight down to business.

    Happy Tuesday

Roomie posed the excellent question of, if they’re going to acknowledge him in the show, why work so hard to exclude him from the recap? It’s all so odd.

Great question, and made the same one on the Ranch. If the show recap was for new viewers, and Bae appeared like 5 seconds, the new viewers will be like ok, so Rumple had a son, but where the hell is that son? And who the hell is this Neal person? An how is that Henry is Rumple grandson? How did Bae and Emma meet if he was in EF? And why the charmings had to give their baby the name of their daughter ex, why they did it? I mean if was for new viewers they should have mentioned him. But whatever.

BWT: Have to ask sorry to @RG, @Josephine, @Heather and @Ranisha bc i was quiet on the Ranch at night, but was seing TBBT, and then saw the rest of How to get away with murder( was great, actually love it), and then my new show Scorpion, so, seing all in computer, makes almost impossible, seing the shows and talking at the same time.

Since my dear hearsong, @Ranisha keeps talking about Lord Bae, that will return as evil, there is a scene already, the person to bring him is the wizard, owner of the hat that rumple has.

@Slurp @Phee that is why Neal had to die, because he would have been too compassionate, too respectful, too kind, too good,  too real, too human. And people will always question when will they get back together already. So kill Neal no worries, no triangle, not debates, no nothing.

With Neal alive bonding with Henry, his father, his friends, with Emma. Eventually Emma and Neal will talk, Eventually Emma and Neal will be friends, good friends, deep friends, best friend, and they will clique, and sass and love and laugh, and argue and sass and support and joke, and parent, and forgive, and dine,  and fight, and bond and love and remember. Eventually Emma, Neal, and Regina, and Henry will become this makeshift of a family bridge the gap between the Stiltskins, Charmings, and Mills. A new fairytale  about wacky mess up  family that rival the likes of modern family. Because this is what will happen and this is what the GA will expect to happen. And this is what the STORY the great muse of OUAT will demand to happen. That this StiltskinCharmingMillsFamily, Henry with all three of his parents, having thanksgiving dinner at grannies finally at peace as a storybook ending of Hope, Love, Family, Redemption, Second Chances, Happy Endings, and Living LIFE and Loving each other.

But thats not the story that Producers wanted, they don’t care to listen to the Story or the Muse.

So Neal has to die and along with it that story and that message. Now its about how villains will get their eventual happy endings because their pretty and popular and flashy, and cool and to heck with the rest.

Since my dear hearsong, @Ranisha keeps talking about Lord Bae, that will return as evil, there is a scene already, the person to bring him is the wizard, owner of the hat that rumple has.

Oh my goodness YES. Lord Ba’El rises in fire and brimestone.

So with Lord Ba’El being a villain means that he will get his eventually happy ending to since he is just misunderstood….. 🙂

I think I get more positive moral messages from Scandal, The Blacklist, and Revenge than I do from OUAT anymore, LOL 😉

BTW-JMo continues to prove that just because you graduate college in three years doesn’t mean you’re all that bright. Apparently she’s pulled more crap on Twitter today although I don’t know all the details because I unfollowed her on Sunday (I was filled in by someone else who’s been watching it happen today). The people on this show need to STOP TALKING on social media if they’re going to keep calling fans ‘haters’ just because they don’t like the ‘popular’ thing. Wow. 😮

Happy Tuesday y’all. CHICAGO FIRE TONIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😀

I had to change my user icon today (can’t handle seeing that image anymore) but I’m keeping my signature pic for now mainly because Artsee made it and she’s all kinds of awesome. 😉 I also want to remember the good things about SF and that picture helps me do that. I still love their story and it’s potential in spite of my growing bitterness towards the two trolls and JMo. *flips a table* 🙁
