KeymasterI’m realizing that though I haven’t actually watched S4, I’m allowing myself to be too invested in the characters. I’ve been allowing myself to read about the episode and the character discussion going on. I think I need to stop, and take a looong break as I did over the summer. It’s though, because I’ve cared so much about these characters and enjoyed talking to you all. So, please excuse me for a time. I think I need to peace out for a while for my own peace of mind.
We love you!

ParticipantI totally understand @Slurpeez and I might have to do a little of that too this season if this keeps up although I’ve been able to steer clear of the reviews and comments so far thanks to being busy. Take good care of yourself and don’t be a stranger! *HUGS*
It’s amazing how this show makes me want to flip tables and I’m not even watching the darned thing anymore. *flips a table*
I Dont see , dont like things on the show, and is not bc SF wasnt endgame, especially bc i never liked JMo, but still nothing i can change, so no biggie, what upsets me most now are the cast, writers and fans, those are teh ones that make go on range mode, bc about the show i can even mock, in fact me and ranisha have some mockable theories.
Good news, How to get away with murder can be oficial the new Ranch show, ( only need to convice @Slurpeez, @DSB, @Text, @Artsee, @Onyx, and Lauren, since the rest of the group is on board)

ParticipantHugs Slurp! I totally feel you!!
I have struggled – continue to struggle – so much with finding the balance between watching/fanning/caring enough to enjoy but not so much that I give a crap when they screw it up. Summer hiatus did me good – a lot of good – I think I need a hiatus that long between each and every episode. LOL!!
I want to partake in the discussion and be around everybody but then I start to get worked up and… blah. No twitter, no tumblr, no spoilers. I can handle a little discussion, and somehow the show itself seems to bother me far less than the rest of it.
That Jared tidbit breaks my heart. Our little SF kid was such a shipper… as was most of the cast… and I totally get him not wanting to ship anymore. That, BTW, tells me he’s detached – they’ve managed to have their actors remove their emotional attachment from the characters and that’s how you get “phoning it in.” (Please note I am NOT accusing him of phoning it in, just noting that’s how actors end up there.) “I just play with the script says”? – yeah, that’s never something you want to hear from an actor. Excited about their projects, rooting for their characters, etc, is what you’d hope to hear. Sigh. Time to break out the slow clap again.
And this “everyone deserves a happy ending”… sorry, that’s garbage. You don’t get to pull that when the most self-sacrificial character on the show gets no happy ending, no chance to break the cycle and parent his own son. Unless Regina in her book-finding time-travelling plan manages to bring back Neal, then hey, maybe we’ll talk.
Cause this story needs some mending & a better happy ending...

ParticipantRainbow wrote: And also think Jared is tired of the show route, he seems detached, and some weeks ago when asked who he ship, he didnt ship anyone, he just had to accept what is on script. Poor kid. I remember when Jared actively used to tweet his support of Emma and Neal getting back together. Jared probably had no choice to backtrack after the writers decided to do a ‘reboot’ and kill off Henry’s dad
I am pleased that most of the cast supported Emma/Neal. We know Jared, Ginnifer, and Emilie did. And Josh once had a tweet saying he approved of Neal.
I do get the vibe that Henry has become sort of a rag doll to Emma, right now her focus is on Hook and Regina
I get that vibe too. I hope I’m wrong. Have we even got any spoilers talking what Emma and Henry will be up too? Most of stuff about Henry has to do with rumps shop or his adventure with Regina. And of course most stuff with Emma is about Killian.

ParticipantRewatching the premiere, I found the Rumple conversation to the grave to be really underwhelming and REALLY selfish. At first, during my initial viewing, I liked the anecdote and hated how it progressed. Then, upon watching it again, the entire conversation wasn’t consistant. First, “I remember how you were so cute,” then,”I killed someone because I loved you,” then, “I found someone to replace you!” Then finally, “I’m going to act like I didn’t do anything and switch the daggers!”
It was so dishonoring to Neal and just felt like the final slap on the face to him. Thanks, A&E, for making this all worse.

ParticipantI think, like others have said, that Rumple’s “I statements” at the graveside were more for non-fans who have come because of Frozen. That speech was not for Rumple fans at all. If they just had him standing there weeping at a grave and laying a flower down, which would have been much more emotive, honest and in-character, then the newbies wouldn’t really know what was going on or care (because that summary episode REALLY filled them on in Neal’s death and it’s impact *SARCASM ACTIVATE*).
It’s a shame because this is the same show that had me bawling just because of a man reaching back and holding the hand of a dying father who had betrayed him, abandoned him and hadn’t forgiven, yet. However that one hand-hold meant everything. It’s almost as if the show is now written by pod people.

Completely agree. And I agree with Jo’s reasonings for why. The whole thing–from the recap to the actual episode–it was all about new viewers.

ParticipantCYDER FOR THE WIN!!!!!! 😀 😀 😀 😀
Maybe we should start taking wagers….which kid rebels first and when will it happen. Of course that would force us to tell all the kids apart and learn the names so never mind, LOL 😉
