this is just a mini observation but its not hook friendly so don’t bother reading it if that bothers you and also regarding recent spoilers.

I am watching Suskunlar aka Game of Silence from Turkey and in this show we have a scene between two men. One is the attacker abuser and tormentor of the other for some time. The tormentor comes back to apologize with some little trinket peace offering gift. His victim smacks him says some choice words to him and then kicks the gif away. Now to me that is more genuine and honest reaction between an attack and victim. They are not suddenly buddy-buddy. They are not playmates. They are not friends. They are not partners and they are not trying to bond.

Sorry does not suddenly make it all better. This person hurt the other in a cruel matter and is still is angry and hurt. This is the difference between shows one provides a more realistically and genuine reaction of a survivor who is confronted by their abuser or attacker. The other is turns it into some sort of joke, where you can play it off as it wasn’t that bad; it’s not like the person died; they can be friends because it’s not like the person really suffered that much and there was  “extenuating circumstance”. Two very different shows

extenuating circumstances Word Origin noun, Law. 1. circumstances that render conduct less serious and thereby serve to reduce the damages to be awarded or the punishment to be imposed. Two different shows…

THIS. Victims of abuse (whether verbal or physical) should not be friends, and especially not lovers, with their abusers. That is why any such “ship” be it platonic or romantic, is not only unrealistic and unnatural, but unhealthy, toxic and harmful. When did that even become a controversial idea? Remember when fairy-tales used to be cautionary and taught children to stay away from harmful sociopaths like kid-nappers, rapists, abusers, killers, and the like? Now, Once is spinning a dangerous tale that it’s, “okay to be friends with the Big Bad Wolf; he’s not really that hungry.”

Who is Neal?  you mean the baby? if they mention snowing and their childen, then maybe the baby is mentioned. If you mean the other Neal/Bae, no, he is the voldemort of this show, the one who name cannot not be spoken, bc bad things happen, and example of that was the recap before this season, that made a resume of all previous seasons, and not a mention to Bae or Neal.

So I shared this poem with some of you already but I wanted to post it today.

    “Happy Endings” by Shel Silverstein

    There are no happy endings.
    Endings are the saddest part,
So just give me a happy middle,
    And a very happy start.

This show is so obsessed with happy endings that that the showrunners are missing out how how terrible the middle parts are.  For us, the viewer, the  characters, the plot.   There is only so much angst a person can take without something to balance out the terrible.  And I think I’m numb because there is no balance.  I’m to the point I just don’t care.  I’m not spewing hate, but it’s like watching something from a distance.

Some of you might have seen the post on Tumblr, and I didn’t reblog or favorite it so I can’t remember who posted it, but it was guidelines to how to write a successful soap opera from a veteran soap writer in the 80s/90s.  Some of the stuff I didn’t agree with but the one thing that stood out was the rule to WATCH THE SHOW.  Yes, they see the dailies, and write the scripts but do they watch the completed product?  Or rewatch the series?  I think not.  I think if the writers would actually sit down and watch what is on the actual screen, what we the views see, they might get a different perspective on the show.  They have all these unknown facts in their head about the show that we don’t know.  I always said that Eddy and Adam explaining stuff through podcast were signs of poor writers.  You have to get your message out through the show! Not podcasts, not interviews, not cut scenes.  The general audience, where your ratings come from, do not seek these things out.

If this show was book I’d have quite reading several chapters ago. 😉  Not that’s not totally true.  I’d quit reading and then skip to the last page  to comfort myself on all the crap I saved myself from actually reading it.  😛

Not by his name…probably by “My dad” or “My boy”….Baby Neal aka Namestealer doesn’t really count I think.

Okay…Prayer Circle Time for patience and strength throughout the rest of this season or not yet? 😉

And just had a quick thought…since they’ve been teasing about Emma going dark….what if Emma’s our Season 5A Villainess…only until she snaps out of her villainess phase. Like…something happens that seriously darkens Emma’s heart, or her heart gets cursed with darkness and the Savior turns into the Villain for 5A? Though the cure ends up being Henry’s love or something….

And according to this new article below…Hook has done something to Ursula, that’s apparently worse than breaking her heart and her soul. Geez, I wonder what the guy did!

Show don’t tell. Yeah I have to say watching Turkish Suskunlar without subtitles I was able to capture the message, follow the story, see the story, feel the story so much so that by the season finale I was actually crying. I may not know what they were saying but I know what they meant! And I felt like I was on their journey.

My answer to you and you get the gist of it.

Not to crush u or anything, but Henry now is only there bc they cant kill a child, bc if they could, he would already been killed, also Emma doesnt even remenber she has kid, i will say she is  Milah 2.0, so if some crap happens to her, will be the handless, alcoolic pirate saving her, heck even Regina at this point can save her.

HA!!! What a shame that Henry has now become the background character….

Galadriel said it best in LOTR “The world is changed. I feel it in the water. I feel it in the earth. I smell it in the air. Much that once was is lost for none now live who remember. And some things that should not have been forgotten were lost. History became legend. Legend became myth.”

    this is so perfect.

And here we are once more.

We have each other at least

    Sigh. We do. <3

ETA: Phee, I’m glad you tweeted them. That comment made me SO upset. It’s one thing to kill of a character but it’s another to pretend like he wasn’t an anchor character for the show, let alone pretend that he never existed! That and the whole Rumple-shaming comment about how he should be sooo happy since he’s had a few happy endings…………… *screams into pillow*
