Ah so it was a deep and meaningful mention of how Neal was an actual person who mattered and got the crap end of the stick in life. He didn’t just exist to be a sperm donor. Good to know. *eyeroll*
[adrotate group="5"]Jared didn’t get the Nealfire blackout memo that everyone else got. Kinda shocked they kept it in. He also explained that Neal is the son of Rumple who is his grandfather who is married to Belle who is his sort-of grandmother. Not a direct quote. It total it was two sentences and nobody else mentioned him or even showed a picture of him.
Oddly they mentioned Ruby a few times and showed her and implied she was related, too.
Keeper of Rumplestiltskin's and Neal's spears and war paint and crystal ball.
They did also have two clips that made mention of Rumple having a son – the Skin Deep clip about the child’s clothes and the clip with the security gate in Manhattan. Thought that was interesting, vs. the 4A recap where they went out of their way not to indicate he existed at all. (Not significant, just interesting.)
Is there some sort of contract/monetary reason why they can’t show him in these recaps, like, literally cannot use the image of MRJ?
Between the writers’ room and the tweet from JMo this evening I am feeling at least minorly vindicated in my fanning, lol.
Cause this story needs some mending & a better happy ending...

That episode actually wasn’t as bad as I’d anticipated. The one scene that made me really feel something was when Chernabog was on top of the Bug, smashing in the windscreen. DO NOT HURT SWANFIRE’S BUG!

Yes that is correct.
After rewatchng last night, the episode wasn’t *horrible* but there moments that stands out as impossibly stupid and silly which makes the episode only “okay” in my book
