Neal: So Emma…when are you gonna tell everyone we’re engaged?

Emma: Well, mom and dad will freak….and grams and gramps will kill us. Let them find out on their own…

Snow: You know our daughter just married Neal right?

Charming: Where’s my sword? I’m going Neal hunting…

    Outlaw Queen…

Robin: Honey…Snow and David just called…they said Emma got married?

Regina: To which of the two idiots?

    HA! Great pics WR!

In my head Emma and Neal get married in the second to last episode of the series in the same place Snow and Charming got married 1st time, Lake Nostos. And then they move into Castle Tallahassee, which is big enough for the entire messed up family.

I don’t know, maybe they’ll stay in SB, and they’ll drive off with “Just married” on the bug.    I’m not even sure how I see the show sort of officially concluding their story in my shippy dreams.

What I do know is that there’s a glacial pace to their relationship.  The writers held back a lot of things that they know about Neal and maybe there are even more they don’t know yet themselves.

I’ve got lots of questions about Emma but we’ve spent more time with her.  So while I wonder if she ever had a good, stable family for a few years, why she left Boston for Portland, who taught her to drive and steal cars, then did she ever have any friends at all…it’s not like these glaring mysteries.

Neal on the other hand, how did he get out of NL? What does he think about Hook now and how did it change from centuries ago in NL, and how well did he know Tink?   Did she help him to escape? Why did he end up in NJ instead of in London?  What was he doing in NY as a career to enable him to move off the streets and afford nice wool coats and scarves?  Does he believe Rumple killed Milah?  Does he remember her much? Why was he exiled in a cave, and seemingly unaware of the Thinking Tree?  How’d he learn about the shadow and coconuts, and the squid?  How did he not ever realize Wendy was on the island and Pan’s prisoner?   Wendy seemed to know Tink, so another puzzling bit there.

They have 2 more episodes to go in this half of the season.  While I am absolutely interested in present day things for SF, and seeing how Neal and Rumple and Darlings  play into and affect his relationship with Emma romantically and as part of the trio of parents, it still would be nice to learn more about his past alone, but most of all about the night in the alley.  I am still hoping that picture Ginny tweeted with MRJ in “portland” clothes really means there’s a backstory episode for Neal to fill in the blanks.

Regarding the new TVGuide interview, I think that it’s interesting that J-Mo singled out Neal by name. I wonder if we’re going to see some more SF-heavy scenes in the final two episodes, and I don’t necessarily mean romance-heavy but at least Emma-Neal having a what-are-we-going-to-do-now heavy conversation about co-rearing Henry, where to live, etc…Will Neal move to SB? Will Henry live with Emma, with him, or with Regina, etc…If Neal moves to SB, what does that mean for him and Emma, if anything?

    Here is another pretty thing:

Now I’m wondering if Emma being in her mother’s dress wasn’t just highly symbolic of Emma embracing her role as the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming in S3, but also of her and Neal possibly ending up back together in the Enchanted Forest. While I’d like to see KFC’s version of Emma and Neal driving off together in the yellow bug with a “just married” sign, part of me would like to see Emma and Neal re-discover EF together and they, along with Regina, take Henry there at least for summer vacations to explore and have adventures. If the bean plant could be re-cultivated from the vine that remains in Regina’s office, then they could harvest as many beans as they like to travel back and forth between SB and EF. While in the EF, Emma could attend her first ball, perhaps a royal celebration of Emma and Neal’s wedding. Charming would be the proud papa and would ask Neal if he could cut in on a dance with his daughter. It would be a lovely thing to behold.

I know there are quite a few people who think Gorham’s character may be her elder foster brother

Agreed to all of this! I really want a Neal centric where we see him in our world becoming Neal and ESPECIALLY what happened with August, the next part of that convo

I think if we were to continue the poetry (Adam’s words) of SwanFire, I agree that it means rediscovering the EF together. Thus, neither one of them have shiny happy memories of that place. I think that if the EF is going to be the place it once was, it’s up the new generation (Emma and Neal as children of the greatest good and the Dark One) to make it that way.

I wonder what ending the writers had in mind whether a new generation of fairy tale characters populate the EF or whether it is SB itself existing like the Harry Potter world.

Either way, I think maybe I might be getting my hopes up here for some kind of Neal poster because really it looks beyond odd now to have every other cast member have one with a phrase and not Neal.  So if they do release his, it would be like this: Emma was the last one of the Jr6 set, and Neal would be the last of what I’ll call the “Love interests” set.  (First Belle as romantic, then Henry as filial/object of paternal and maternal love and finally Neal–combining it all with his roles as love interest, father and son).    Yes, Belle is the object of parental love sort of from Mo but I’m making this shippy and talking about within the main cast.   While they are not in NL anymore, Pan is not really dead so the arc is continuing.

Especially since we just left Neverland

Well I hope you’re right. I just feel like they’ll keep saying “no no no, we did. You missed it.”
