Even more surprised that none are speaking about Mikey’s return?

That’s probably why they aren’t live tweeting. Probably thinking the fandom would react negatively toward seeing Neal again and didn’t want to deal.

In the world of tv live tweeting is pr to sell the show, so yeah is weird. About Neal they already knew he was going to appear so they would not get any negative stuff, especially bc abc did 2 tweets about it, and most of fans sorte of reacted Well at least on MRJ tag, bc Matt M from tv line got all the hate by talking about  sf and saying the best things of epi were Emma and neal , Emma and henry talking about neal and Regina and her father. So not sure why the cast would get hate about a character appearing in one epi, i must say tho, all the promotion around this epi was weird and non existent.

*sigh* Those last few moments in that scene are so wonderful. I’m really not going to be able to stomach Emma’s eventual reunion with Hook after this

For all the MAJOR ISSUES I have with some of the words that were said, (which I don’t really need to rant about, because I know I’d just be preaching to the choir), I must say that even if the writers don’t get it how important and unbreakable Emma and Neal’s connection is, I now believe that JMo does actually get it. The last time JMo managed to portray any emotion that was this real, was the scene where Neal died. It’s like, whenever she comes face to face with him, Pod!Emma is no more, and she’s a real person with believable emotions.

I’m not sure whether to laugh or cry over the fact that they expect us to buy into Emma having a similar connection to Hook. It’s such a joke, but it’s the saddest joke ever.

Well Jmo actually said that there was a scene that she loved on 512, but she could not say much about it, but that people would see what was that scene once they saw it. Guess we found what was the scene.

So Neal's Heaven is his days with Emma. Roller coaster, the yellow bug… Let's chew on that. @TheZachVan

There are many people that think like @RG, that is the goodbye scene from the writers and from MRJ, saying that Neal is happy and eh wont be seen again.
About the happy thing, even tho many people wanted a Henry/Rumple/neal scene, said that they are happy he is happy bc he deserves to be happy after all the suffering during his life, or how they are happy and proud that he went straight to Heaven and not went to UW to suffer.

Overall the scene was very well received for most of the fandom, even bwt Cs parts, in fact is for many one of the best scenes of the show this season and back to what the show used to be.

Some fans are even saying that the writers are showing CS as TL in teoric, but then have Emma the minute she sees Neal almost making out with him.

Feel free to skip over this comment, since I know most people will say that this was the last time we’ll ever see Neal again; however, I’m no so certain. Many people also said we’d never see Neal again after 3×22, but then we saw him in 5×12. There are a couple of reasons why I’m speculating about the idea that this might not be the final time we’ll ever see Neal. The biggest reason is because Neal and Henry still haven’t gotten closure. I’m not saying they necessarily ever will, but 5×12 was the perfect time for Henry to see his dad again, but that didn’t happen. Also, it seems like Emma is just as in love with Neal as ever as much as he is with her. Just saying. The other thing is that the Neal-Emma scene in 5×12 just emphasized the contrast between their love that the selfish kind of “love” that Hook and Emma have. Maybe I’m just seeing things through shipper-glasses, but whenever we have a scene with Neal, it always seems intentional how unselfish and kind his love is in contrast to Emma/Hook’s unhealthy kind of selfish love that imperils them and everyone else. Neal still is looking out for Emma, because he loves her and always will. Neal only ever wished for Emma to be happy, even if it was without him. That is the purest kind of love there is.

As many people have said, it seems like JMO and Neal especially play their characters that way, with the knowledge that their characters have true love. That is why the emotions and the acting choices seem so authentic and stand in stark contrast with the wooden way Emma quoted her father’s line of saying she’d always find Hook. It seems like Emma has really latched onto the idea of wanting the same kind of death-defying true love that her parents have. Yet, I think we know that the heart-splitting plan is doomed to fail, because Emma and Hook don’t share true love. To quote Neal, “Trust me on this. This won’t end the way you think it will.”

Well, I saw some theories that if Neal had really moved on, he wouldn’t have been able to appear to Emma, and this is all Hades’ mind games like he did with Cora and Regina. It is wishful thinking in my opinion.

However, I do think that Emma might not end up with Hook. I think if the writers really don’t take the easy way out and really forshadow their future storyline (when did they ever?) then Emma might let go of Hook the same way Regina did.
