Yup.
Ugh. I can’t even muster the energy to review this episode. I don’t think there was a single thing I liked about it. Except perhaps for the dubious satisfaction of having predicted that Hades was a jerk all along.
That last scene where Hook is back and Emma and him are making out in front of Robin’s grave made me want to throw something at the TV. But then I remembered I could go watch Game of Thrones — which at this point is a whole lot more hopeful, life affirming and psychologically uplifting than OUAT. *sigh*

Still, Robin had no right to change anything in the house or even with Rumple saying that, he should have said it i will keep it, especially bc most of the stuff there is still from neal, so what type of stuff he even had on that box? Of course that this week, his things may still be there, bc more retcon, which would fit with Hnery going there and Neals stuff be there, who knows maybe is henrys computer and emma is seeing where henry is, checking his internet history. I doubt Robin got rid of Neal’s stuff when he realized he was jobless and broke in a new world…we know she’s rich, but Regina couldn’t have given Robin that much money to pay for food, clothing, bills, and other utilities for those six and half months that he was gone. So to me, everything in that apartment was bought by Neal Cassady. Robin and family were just occupying it….no clue on who was paying the bills though.

Also laughing now, that they may have used Neals credit card to pay stuff and got Neals some debts and he is dead, only in this show, see Emmas house would have fit more while Neal`s raise to much questions, and again, they said Neal story was over* rolls eyes even more*
Well, killing off Neal was just the tip of the iceberg. We all saw the show for its true colors. By promoting Hook at the expense of other characters, they ticked off many fans. I mean, are A&E trying to get their show canceled by alienating every sector of the fandom except for CS? If that were their aim, then they’re succeeding. These writers are already creating a different show this summer. It seems to me that by promoting Hook, they’ve only made one faction (Hookers/CSers) happy while everyone else is just peeved (and that’s the sanitized word for it).

I find it hard to imagine that showrunners would want their show cancelled. And even today on Twitter Adam responded to someone who claimed that the only people who were happy were CSers; Adam responded with “I’ve seen plenty of angry CSers today too.”
But, as usual, I think Adam’s missing the point. If everyone is angry (and there’s a pretty good argument to be made that most everyone is–even the CSers who are sick of being blamed for everything bad that happens, and for having every other subset of fandom angry at them and their character) then you really are doing something wrong and “artistic licence” only goes so far.
Should writers be allowed to tell their story the way they want? Yes, sure. But I’m allowed to say that their story isn’t very good. And right now it’s not, and it hasn’t been for awhile. This season, for me and probably me alone, has been better than anything that came after Neverland but only because of some stellar acting from a charismatic villain and some at least moderately thought provoking musing on topics outside of just plot.
There are a lot of big problems but one of the biggest is that I don’t think the writers even know what their show is. They offer up platitudes about hope, love, family, and happy endings but everything they show is in direct contrast to that. How is Robin (and Neal) dying and leaving behind children about hope, love, family, and happy endings? How is Regina never getting to be reunited with her soul mate about hope? How is rewarding a murderer many times over with a second life for doing an over emphasized good work a message about redemption? The writers don’t actually sit with their broad themes and muse on them. They just put them out there as things that you’re supposed to be getting from their show but never pausing to actually consider if their narrative is an accurate reflection of that. It’s like…as long A and E keep giving their song and dance routine about hope, they believe you won’t notice the rooms on fire and there’s no water in sight.
