I certainly wouldn’t go so far as to surmise Hook and Emma were getting it on in the graveyard,

Yes. The change in day was poor planning on the shooting department. That’s all. There is nothing sexual going on in the graveyard. I agree that it’s over blown.

I don’t put it past the writers to actually do that and think it the most romantic thing ever that Hook and Emma were lost to the throes of passion and reacquainted themselves with each other.

Considering the fact that A and E won’t even explicitly say whether or not Emma and Hook have consummated their relationship is telling. It means they aren’t thinking that way. Sorry, but I do think you’re overthinking this part. It’s just more inconsistency that has to do with poor planning on the filming schedule. Nothing more.

    I can accept that explanation.

Do you think A&E have had enough of OUAT? It used to be crafted so well but recently it just kind of feels slap-dashed together. There’s no continuity, it’s all about the arc of the moment.

The arguments are crap because Emma and Neal’s relationship was one of equals and that is the most important thing.

    That.

No because I don’t think THEY think it’s slapdash. They still think they’re doing a bang up job. It’s their audience that has an issue, in their eyes. It’s portions of their audience that can’t seem to grasp what they are doing; thus their solution is to double down on whatever their audience isn’t “getting so that we “get it.” It’s what Kiki said in a link I posted a few pages about certain privilege.

Also S2 214 happens in early 2012 so Henry could not have 11 by then, and rumple even dreamed in celebrating henry birthday in that vision he had of killing Hnery.

One year pass, they are still in 2013 no way Henry can have 13 years only like they say.

Keb would probably be the best to clarify the timeline.

Does 214 happen early 2012? We know Skin Deep is early 2012 since it is valentines day but that’s back in season 1.

yes, all season 2 and S3a happen spring 2012, that was explain by Adam already whne the Frozen came, that they still didnt saw the movie frozen bc S3b and S4A happen spring 2013 and that included one year jump, so means s1, s2 and S3a happen in like maybe one/2 months then one year jump, so means that S4b happens summer probably and S5A and B probably happens on fall 2013.
Only 2 years have pass in the show since pilot, that includes the 1 year jump, so even if Hnery had 10 in the pilot in 2011 means that 2 years after he has to have 12 not 13.

Emma was in juvy. Her records were sealed because she was in juvy. So what? That doesn’t make Neal way older then her.

See right there is the inconsistence in the writing, they said emma was in Juvie in S1, but they say she was in Juvie in 1996, when she was 13, and then August mentions prison to neal, not juvie, he says to neal “she got 11 months on a low level security facility”. So shows the same inconsistences in the writing, what they had for s1, on next seasons doesnt fit.

It is exactly that the writers think. That we don’t “get” the show. They think we are too stupid to understand what they are writing. That is the problem. It is never going to get better, if anything the show has gotten so much worse, in their attempt to make us “get” the show.

They took their fans for granted (something a writer should never do) and thought that we would be fine with anything they throw at us. Oh an inconvenience? No worries here’s some MAGIC to make things easy, even though it is inconsistent with a rule that has been established before. Why? You can find a vague answer at twitter after the episode.

I don’t disagree that there is an inconsistency in the writing. I really think that Emma has only said that she was 18 one time, when she was talking to Ella, and that was during Season 1 when Emma always lied about Henry’s birth and who his father was. All the other information points to Emma really being 17. Don’t get me wrong, the writers are idiots. They didn’t really think about what they were writing at the time, like they don’t think about anything.

Though, i really do think that it is all completely irrelevant because, like i said, Emma and Neal’s relationship was one of equals in every way and that is what matters.
