ParticipantOk, im going to say it, i mentioned early relating to Titanic, but there are many interviews already where A&E say that sometimes in dead you can get a HE, so in my idea i say, if we are talking about SQ possibility, i say why not talking about the possibility that , Emma can die and meets Neal in dead and after SF ends in the last seconds of the show as HE in death, i mean, has more chances of happening than SQ at least for me, and that way Belle can give her baby Emma`s name, see, so even tho i dont see them give up CS after all this crap, in their opinion, if they end CS, i see more SF having chance in death than SQ in life, so i will say how soccer fans say in Europe, prognostics only at the end of the game, so after the last credits of ouat i will talk again about Emma endgame.

KeymasterBut we still have Jane Espenson in the writers’ room offering a non-traditional POV. I also go back to what Adam tweeted once in S3 about some people being right for you, some people being wrong for you, and others people you just choose. At the time, it seemed like he was talking about Emma choosing to go with Henry over Hook or Neal at the end of S3a, but now I’m wondering if there’s more to it.
Sure. But I’m not so convinced that Jane is doing all that much to offer perspective given that her episodes do have CS heavy moments (she wrote Firebird in which they were, granted oddly, declared TL, something reiterated at SDCC and other interviews).
If Regina is the person Emma chooses, I’m also not convinced it’s in a romantic way. She does keep choosing Regina (she saves Regina, she protects Regina, she defends Regina) but she also keeps lip locking and declaring love for the pirate.
The writers want to have and eat their cake; they want the push CS (probably per the mandate of ABC) but they want to push SQ as well because 1) vocal fanbase 2) both Emma and Regina are two of the more complex individuals on the show. So they bait the living daylights out of SQ (show) but tell speak only of CS/OQ (tell).
Show, don’t tell. And I think that’s as much SQ as we’re likely to get.

ParticipantJust got home, slightly exhausted, so a few thoughts
Welcome back!
the potion was laced with the Sands of Avalon, the same roofie Arthur gave Gwen, which explain Emma’s behavior S3B-present, especially when it comes to Hook.
Oh, that’s an interesting theory. It would certainly explain Emma’s character switch. I’m tempted to ask how he’d procure the magical roofie, but of course, this is OUAT — almost any MacGuffin can be retconned to have been used at any other point, with any number of unexplained and unexpected effects, should the plot need it. So why not?
There’s also something to the incredible physical resemblance between Hook and Arthur, and what I think @Slurpeez (?) mentioned about the parallel between Arthur/Gwen and Hook/Emma (what with the FODs and all that). Hmmm.
I’m sure that spot will go to our newest bad boy in town, Sam Witwer (Mr. Hyde). Adam and Eddy can’t resist having another tall, dark, & handsome with past issues and abusive ways on this show.
Bingo. Because, clearly you can’t have too much of a good thing…
Bobby is saving people from joining this sinking titanic!! XD I’m proud to be his fan!
An awesome actor and a good mentor to younger colleagues? What’s not to love!

ParticipantI don’t think there is any sort of well thought out long game, hints going on with this show. The only reason that Swan Queen is possible is because any random thing can happen on this show at any time. Emma was meant to be with Bae. They were supposed to be the relationship on this show. Then whatever happened, the writers are bad, ABC got involved, probably both, then they decided to make Emma get with Hook. That was not the plan. That was not the premise of the show. If that can happen, the most random, inconsistent for Emma’s character, no building leading up to it, thing, if that can happen, if Emma can get with Hook then anything can happen. That is the only reason Swan Queen is possible.

Anything really could happen now that the reset button has been hit, and that is sort of my point. Neal was always planned to be Henry’s father and Emma’s true love since the start. He was the one meant for Emma. However, when the writers hit the reset button and killed off Neal in S3b, the story got a major overhaul. It seems like Emma and Hook are going to be headed down the aisle at the end of s6 (what with the wedding dress in the display case in S5 finale), but you never know with these writers. They’re tricky you-know-whats. If they don’t get picked up by ABC for another season, they could do whatever they want.

ParticipantI keep asking myself why this show keeps getting renewed and some great shows are cancelled at one season?

Long Explanation: In spite of the mess that it is, there are some stories that still touch the hearts of the millions who still watch the series.
Putting It Bluntly: Robert Carlyle, Lana Parrilla, & Shippers Who Watch Only For Their Ship.

Thinking more about this, i would say, is mostly bc of no competition in other networks or even inside abc, GA doesnt care about who ends with who and even tho Lana and Booby are good actors, they are not names that bring viewers, GA see it every week mostly bc they dont have anything else to see for the family, if they had another show at that same time for family on network tv i mean, OUAT if they got a S6, we would be talking how they said S6 is the last, or how even s5 was the last. Also, they dont have competition inside ABC, bc the network doesnt have anything else to put on ouat place.
But maybe I should have asked the question other way and even ask some more questions.
Does this show DESERVES to keep being renewed, while some great shows out there, with great actors, loyal fanbase and great story arent?
Do the actors deserve to be stuck to this show losing chances of doing better things?
Does this fandom deserves to get the show renewed while others more peaceful lose their shows?

I’m also not convinced it would be in a romantic way nor that it even would need to be (given Emma is Regina’s step-grandchild). Those ladies choosing each other and their son in a loving, familial way would still be a powerful statement in a way that is satisfying to the GA and (mostly) to SQ fans. Since I doubt Neal would ever come back from the dead, then this is the ending that would be the most fitting and natural resolution to the problems they’ve set up since his death. It would also wrap up a story that spans the series and give Emma and Regina the family they’ve always been looking for with their son and each other.

ParticipantThe writers have double down over and over again on Captain Swan. Trying to explain why we should like them like we are complete morons. They aren’t going to change it. I just don’t believe it is possible at this point.
