ParticipantI just had a thought. Why doesn’t Snow White just lend or give Emma her engagement ring that David gave her? True love follows it wherever it goes. If Snow really wants to make it easy on her daughter that would be a wonderful way to support her.

That’s a sweet idea. 🙂

Sweet but then we wouldn’t have the saga of “Emma Swan and the Triangle of Doom” anymore and Eddy and Adam seem to be big fans of that tale. 😛

*glances at ratings thread* I suggest they become un-fans of it right quick.

ParticipantFriendly reminder: Emma was on her way to meet Neal for lunch before the shadow started wreaking havoc on the nuns. …I always seem to forget that. She had just arrived at Granny’s when she heard the screams…
I’m rewatching The New Neverland and I forgot how special the moment between Charming and Emma was when he was talking to her about going to meet Neal. He says some pretty amazing things. <3

3×10 wasn’t my very favorite episode of the season but I did like how it was a love letter, IMO, to Swanfire and Snowing and how alike Snow and Emma are. The second you open yourself up the possibility of happy ending, you risk getting hurt again. No wonder Emma’s got on that leather coat! She knows that if she goes to lunch with Neal it means opening her heart again. But there are her parents telling her that she can take moments. She is allowed to have lunch with the man she’s always loved.

I miss season 1! I’d rather Emma have no love interest at this point than have the triangle of doom. She was doing well with just Henry and her parents. As Henry’s father and Emma’s first love, Neal was always a nice bonus. But why add a lusty pirate into the mix, who was the lover of Henry’s grandmother to boot? Just let Emma have some space without a womanizing swashbuckler who reeks of booze breathing down her neck. I’m sorry if that sounds harsh but that is probably how it comes across to the average viewer.

I was talking to my mom the other day about ONCE and this whole shipping triangle of doom. She’s a very average casual viewer—got caught up in about 3 weeks before 301 aired. She doesn’t understand the whole shipping craze. She’s more or less indifferent to Neal, hates Hook, and ultimately thinks Emma should be on her own (she might be biased–she was a single mom and I turned out ok 🙂 )
At this point with the death looming over us I am 100% ok with Emma being a single mom raising Henry with Regina and Robin. She wouldn’t even be alone, not anymore. She’d have her mom and dad and her son. She’s no longer the friendless orphan we met in 101. It’s like KFC said, who ever dies, maybe it’s better if Emma doesn’t end up with the other guy?
EDITED TO ADD
This is one of the things I hate most about the death spoiler. It’s taking away Emma’s choice in her future mate. If it comes down to Hook and Neal and Emma was going to make a decision eventually but then one of them DIES before she does that, her choice is now gone. She is no longer in control of her own destiny and life. It’s you end up with the alive one because he’s the one left standing. I hate that. And if Hook does die and she ends up with Neal…we’ll never hear the end of it.

ParticipantOh, Slurpeez, I love your description. I, too, miss the days of Season one when Emma was just Emma. She might have been ardently shipped with Mr. Gold (oh, they were frightening) or Regina or August but it was different. Now it just seems there’s so much enmity among the fandom that its dividing everything.
That said, I do adore my Neal. 😉
