“Tale as old as time….” from Disney’s Beauty & the Beast. Yes, some will view this movie and the song as sappy and annoying. The words though speak truth to human nature. At the heart of this fairy tale and in fact, OUAT, is this, there is Beauty and The Beast in everyone of the characters.Regina’s Beast is her blind revenge, her Beauty is her genuine love for her adopted son Henry. Snow’s Beast is when she questions the good choices she has made throughout her life (The Queen is Dead). Her Beauty is her unwavering belief in the goodness of people. Every OUAT character have elements of B&TB inside them. This makes for tension, intrigue, romance and redemption! BTW, I don’t give the tabloids, entertainment news the power to make me anxious about Swanfire. It’s a given…these two belong together. It’s a bumpy love story. As an intelligent female, I can understand A & E’s vision for OUAT – true love, adventure, magic, and family always rules!

@Casper – Welcome! I totally agree. Focus on the story, not the biased media outlets.I’m going to continue to put trust into the story A&E decide to tell until I have a good, convincing reason not to do so. And I’m going to make up my own mind about what those reasons might be and not because some biased media outlet says so. Perhaps 3×12 is jam-packed with Hook and CS. Yet, for all we know , it’s still not what we think and could be a huge misdirection for where the story ultimately heads by the end of the season.

Adam claims he has no control over the way the media chooses to spin things or the way OnceABC chooses to promote a certain pirate over every other main character. While I think A&E are having a bit of fun at our expense by showing us CS, I think that was always going to happen before the end-game couple would emerge…which I think is SF. Again, misdirection.

Maybe we could all take Adam’s advice to heart…then maybe our patience, hope, and desire to see Emma and Neal find each other again and work through their issues will pay off (hopefully in a big way).

As do I. Especially the part about Henry’s happy ending. being robbed of your father is the exact opposite of a happy ending

She (or he) is very pro-CS, but is admitting that SF fans may have something to look forward to in the future (which is in keeping with what a lot of us having been predicting):

Two things that stand out for me: 1) Neal is determined and 2) events of this episode are going to play majorly into future episodes so there’s something to look forward to. Just a bit confused my the wording, thanks:) I can try. 🙂 Things that happen in 3×12, what Emma thinks, what Henry thinks, what’s happened with Neal since they last saw each other…there’s no resolution in the episode so that means that future episodes will have more Swan Fire stuff. It’s a setup episode for their story so while fans of that ship might not love this episode, it will give them scenes to look forward to in future episodes. x
I know you are a cs shiper, but still, does my st/sf heart has a chance of enjoying this episode? Does Emma hate Neal? Is the scene with the dreamcatcher something that will give me hope? Emma without her memories is the Emma that only knows that Neal abandoned her and let her go to jail. So he’s not her favorite person. But at some point, whether it be in this episode or another one, her memory will come back and that’s why I’ve been saying that his episode might not be a favorite for SF shippers, but future ones will be better. [x]
Do you think it’s important that we see so much of Hook and Emma and not a lot of Emma and Neal? Basically I guess I’m asking (even with your CS bias) if you think it’s being set up as CS for good.

In other words, be prepared to hate 312 but hold on to hope.
I like that she/he says that SF isn’t even remotely done at this point. I’m glad *someone* on the other side acknowledges it. All I ever hear is, “if it was going to happen–it would have happened.” SF is the slow burn, the long fire that burns, the sun that illuminates and all the other precious things we’ve said. Emma has to get her memories back, see Neal, TALK TO HIM FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, and then defeat a Wicked Witch and then maybe try to figure out her complicated Thief/Pirate/Monkey problem

However, the best “relationship” stuff happens between CS. *sigh* This is going to be a long, drawn-out affair. Nevertheless, I suspected half as much. I don’t think we’ll get SF stuff until much later on in the season (maybe as late as 3×19).
