ParticipantThe following may upset some Hook/CS fans, so reader be warned:
So it was announced yesterday that Colin O’Donoghue, Rebecca Mader, and Robert Carlyle were filming together at Stanley Park. Why do you think that is? My own thought is that it’s not a good thing. I think Hook and Zelena are strange bed fellows. What if Hook is rendezvousing with Zelena, who is now controlling Rumple? I proposed earlier that Hook might’ve helped Zelena unleash this new curse in exchange for getting back to Emma first. What if Zelena is now calling on Hook again, perhaps against his will now, in an effort to learn information about the Charmings and/or Regina?"That’s how you know you’ve really got a home. KeymasterI admit it’s a very strange set of people in one scene. Either Hook is working for the Witch or Hook is trying to rescue Rumple which…is very strange as well. He may have given up his revenge against my Imp but I don’t think he’d go out of his way to make sure no harm came to him. I’m really conflicted about this. On the one hand, I do think that 3×11–watching Rumple and Regina be heroes and make the heroic sacrifices they made–touched him and showed him what true heroism should look like–unselfish and with no personal agenda–and not doing something with the express purpose of getting something in return (Emma’s love in this case). And I’d hate to think he suddenly turns against what he saw. I want to root for Hook, even if I’m not rooting for CS. But it feels very strange, this whole Hook going to save Rumple by himself thing. Where is Charming? Or Emma? Emma said in “the Miller’s Daughter” that Rumple was family and she was going to save him after Hook stabbed him. Emma may not like Rumple sometimes, but there is no way she’d let him be held hostage by the Witch. She’d work with Charming (who I think begrudgingly likes Rumple quite a bit) and Hook to rescue him. There have been a few other scenes where it’s Hook, the Witch, and some other character together–like in 316 with Henry on the beach. Can anyone think of any others? It might be a pattern

ParticipantIt would certainly be in character for Hook to be siding with the villain while also playing along with the goodies. It would be a believable backslide for him if they’re giving him a proper redemption arc, like they’ve been doing with Rumple and Regina. I do think they’re gonna give him a redemption arc, so even if they put him in the middle again, I think that ultimately, he’ll be on the side of the goodies.

ParticipantI find the notion that magic-less Hook would go up against the magical Wicked Witch solo (without Regina or Emma’s magic as backup) to save his former nemesis, Rumple, really unbelievable. Hook may begrudgingly tolerate the Crocodile, but he’s not about to risk his own neck to save the dark one. That sounds like a theory that people who love his character put forward because they long for Hook to be a protagonist. Yet, just the other day, Adam tweeted that Hook is a flawed character. Just because he’s made strides towards redemption, it doesn’t mean he’s redeemed. He has yet to make any great sacrifice the way Rumple and Regina did in 3×11. Also, Regina relapsed into her Evil Queen ways in S2, and so might Hook relapse into his pirating ways in S3. Which is why I’m maintaining that Hook is secretly allied with Zelena. I agree with Phee, that in the end, Hook could regret this alliance and do the right thing though.

I saw a crack vid that had that shot of Neal cut together with the scenes of Regina and Graham’s “meeting”, and now I can’t see that shot of Neal without chuckling. 😛

ParticipantIt’s time for you to believe in yourself, Emma. It’s time for you to find hope.
