I used to think that Emma kept the bug because it not only reminded her of Neal, but it kept her son’s memory alive. It’s very likely this is where Henry was conceived. Even if it wasn’t. It’s the one thing she has that ties her to Neal (besides the Swan pendant (but amnesia!Emma doesn’t have that)) and their child that she had to give up.
And, of course, let’s not forget that she received the keys to the bug the day she found out she was pregnant with Henry. Which, ever since Tallahassee, that is why I think she’s kept the bug all those years. Henry.
But amnesia!Emma has Henry and believes she’s raised him since birth. They’ve had a year of non-fake memories together. And you know what? She has the bug still. The bug doesn’t represent her connection to Henry. She doesn’t need anything to represent Henry because she has him. The bug can only represent her connection to Neal.
Hmmmmmmmmm
Emma’s always had something with her to remind her of Neal. Even after she took off the necklace, she still had their Bug, and she actually had him there physically himself. Then she went to NL, no necklace, no Bug, no Henry, no Neal…and she ended up with his old sword on her back almost immediately. She’s always got something with her that can connect her to Neal, even when she was completely torn away from everything else, something that belonged to Neal found its way into her hands very quickly. It’s almost like they’re fated to be forever connected or something. 😉
Just realised that a fluffy SF vid set to Stuck With You is something I need in my life. LOL

And like many of us have noted with the Bug, it took time, money and energy to keep it running. It’s not a young car–it would break down over the next 10 years. But Emma took it to a mechanic, or worked on it herself, lovingly tending to it, refusing to sell it for parts and a better car.

Had Bae not gone to BF he would not have recived the magic bean- without the magic bean Bae would not have gone to NL. Because Bae did not go to NL Rumple did not go crazy tring to go to TLWM. as a result see no use in going to Cora’s aid and Cora would have been killed because her lie about spunning straw into gold- and by doing so ending the Mills family line. Because Cora is dead no one killed Queen Eva Snow is raised by her mother as a royal and is not forced to become a bandit therefore not meating Charming because a. she never ran away and b. he is still a Shepard. Because Cora died and Regina wasn’t born Rumple couldn’t force Regina to pull her finacial support from King George he never had to turn to Midas and James would still be alive. Since Snow did not meet Charming Emma was never born since Neal never came to TLWM and probably died some 200 years ago and Emma was never born Henry did not exiat either and therefor was no curse and no show
so what have we learned?

YES! He his literally the cataylst for the SHOW. And Emma is that which works with the catalyst to drive it. (I have no idea what science terms I should be using)

Emma makes a wish on her birthday…..and voila…..Henry appears at her door.
In Emma’s Boston apartment, are two keepsakes that tie her to love and belonging: her ‘EMMA’ baby blanket her parents wrapped her in and Neal’s Swan Necklace that lies close to her heart!
Emma hijacking that adorable yellow beetle that Neal was hijacking……what are the odds!!!!! :o)

Henry’s camera will have the same effect on Emma’s memories as Henry’s Fairytale Book…Emma’s mind will be filled with the past 3 years….and I hope it includes the memories of Emma declaring her love for Neal……TWICE!
