I can put up with Hook’s comedic hour, and even laugh at it, so long as we get that MamaBelle speech to Neal about never giving up the fight. 🙂

I to watched the special online last night after Good Form & Gong Home aired I was very happy to see MRJ & Emile included in the interviews with the cast. What did stand out to me was that Jared was not included in the cast interviews for the special I don’t know if that is significant or not but I found it quite curious.

I have to agree with everything that Slurpeez, Luna and RG had to say in regards to Hook

Yes both Rumple and Regina made huge sacrifices when it came to their redemption Rumple sacrificed his life for both Belle and Neal and of course the rest of his family, Henry, Emma, The Charmings, Regina and everyone else is SB. He was able to acknowledge that while yes he’s a villain and was lead astray because of the dark one curse his reasoning in taking it on the first place was to keep his son safe and he wanted him happy Rumple’s actions at least in the beginning were always with the best of intentions for Bae/Neal no matter what. Everything that Rumple did was always for Neal, then later on it shifted to also include Belle and then it even shifted to Henry after he found out that Neal was Henry’s father and wanting to change to be better person went on to include the rest of his extended family Emma, The Charming and even to some extent Regina. Towards the the end of 310 & all into 311 I believe Rumple finally was able to summon up the courage to realize that to stop his father and keep his family safe and happy and to finally get that redemption that he felt in some ways he deserved and in other ways felt hew didn’t deserve he was going to have to pay the ultimate price which was as he believed was his life even if that that meant that he would not be able to have his happy ending with Belle or with his son. Which was why he told Neal that he loved him and that his happiness with Emma & Henry was still possible and that it took him all these centuries to realize that Neal’s happiness wasn’t with just him. I think that Rumples’s actions in Neverland in addition to the sacrifice he was making in SB in that instant Neal finally believed his father had actually really changed, his father was redeemed in not only his eyes but everyone elses. I believe Belle even saw that as well despite losing him in that instant.

The same can be said for Regina she finally acknowledged that yes she was wrong to cast the curse in the first place and that like Rumple she was a villain and like Rumple said villains don’t get happy endings She able to say it out loud to Henry and even to everyone on the street in SB. Which was huge for her. She realized to that to stop Pan’s curse she had to end hers which meant she would have to give up Henry a decision that she did not make lightly but she knew it was the right one to save everyone including her son and to make sure Rumple’s sacrifice wouldn’t be in vain. I think Regina finally understood the pain she had caused Snow & David when she enacted the curse back in the enchanted forest because that time Emma was a newborn and they were forced to send their daughter away to escape the curse now this time she was having to do the same with Henry. I think Regina saw the pain that Henry & Emma were in as well because they had to leave her parents and Neal and everyone else to escape the curse.

So now when it comes to Hook he has yet it to fully acknowledge that yes he is a villain and that the majority of his actions have caused people pain and suffering. He’s never once apologized to Neal for all the wrongs that he has done him beginning with taking Neal’s mother Milah away from from him and Rumple in the first place because that one event set of a chain reaction of events that occured in Neal’s life, Milah abandoning her son, Rumple becoming the Dark One to protect Neal. Neal having to leave the EF to escape his father, Winding up in fictional Victorian London the Darlings, Sacrificing his himself to save one of Wendy’s brothers, forced into Neverland, Meeting Hook discovering that it was Hook who stole his mother from him & father, that she abandoned him for Hook, and that it his mother was indeed dead because of the feud between his father & Hook. Hook wanting to use him to get the information on how to kill his father. Then Hook subsequently handing Neal back to the Lost Boys & Pan. Then Years later in NYC he tried to to kill Rumple again out of vengeance. Then in Neverland Hook decided he wanted Emma and once again it was all about him and his wants, He didn’t care if this was history repeating itself only this time it was Neal in the place of his father Rumple, Henry in Neal’s place, even when he told Neal he would back off of Emma for Henry’s sake so that the Emma & Neal could work things out he really didn’t

Hook has yet to apologize to Emma for wnat went down in NYC and the EF locking her & Snow, Mulan, Aurora in Rumple’s cell, then choosing to switch sides again to help Cora get to SB, and working with GOAT to help destroy SB, trying to kill Regina so that he could kill Rumple in the name of his vengeance for Milah’s death. His actions in SB set off a chain of events He stole the magic bean which caused GOAT to capture Henry and take im to Neverland, That action lead to David being poisoned with Dreamshade and nearly caused David’s death. Hook has yet to apologize to Belle for shooting her and causing her to lose her memories in order to just to hurt Rumple. He has yet to apologize to what did to Regina.

Yes Hook helped them all in Neverland and even help save David from dying from Dreamshade poisoning but those small actions alone does not make him a hero or redeem his character the only way for Hook to be fully redeemed is by first apologizing for his actions and the all the wrongs he has done to those he hurt in the past and acknowledging that yes he is villain, and in order to fully change he must make amends and to make those types of amends he going to have to come terms with all he has done and what better way to prove that he was wrong and to make amends to everyone is to do just as Rumple & Regina did make a huge ultimate sacrifice because that would be the only way his character could become a hero and be redeemed at the same time. I believe that in order for all this to occur Hook is going to have to revert to how he was back in season 2

That being said I think that maybe the direction that Adam & Eddy are going in. I’m feeling very confident that Hook’s redemption arc is part of the story to put SwanFire on that journey to finding out that Home is with each other and that whole journey of Neal & Emma and Henry becoming whole complete family starts tonight. I fully believe that the story of Hook’s redemption & sacrifice will play a huge part in Neal & Emma’s reunion
