I wonder how Henry will react to Neal, not having his memories and all. Will Emma tell him that’s his father? Curse Henry doesn’t seem to have a high opinion of his birth dad. Are we in for angst and heartache?

I wonder how Henry will react to Neal, not having his memories and all. Will Emma tell him that’s his father? Curse Henry doesn’t seem to have a high opinion of his birth dad. Are we in for angst and heartache?
Heartache. Duh. This is SwanFire.
But it’s a slow burn. And in the end…we’re going home.

Maybe, but I think Emma will conceal the identity of Henry’s father as long as she can and also hide the truth about giving him up for adoption. Emma won’t want Henry to know who Regina is either. I think though that Regina may get through to Henry and perhaps even be the one to jog his memory. I think by the time Henry sees Neal again, he may have his true memories back. If not, then he may have some resentment issues, but what teenager doesn’t? All that matters is the truth, and once Henry remembers, he’s going to be delighted at seeing his papa again.

Despite losing the love of his life, his son, and his father in the span of less than 24hrs and the first words out of his mouth unlike her Parents, Regina, and Hook who’s first knee jerk reaction is to accept their fate and wallow in their grief?

It hurt so much seeing Emma and Henry talk about Neal 🙁 I am glad she got her memories back though and it wasn’t dragged out. The Neal, Belle and Robin scenes were perfection! I want the three of them to go of on an adventure and be like the three musketeers. I just want to know now why he couldn’t get to Emma himself.
Also noticed they cut the captainswan hug out!

I have a feeling that answer is going to be drawn out, while at the same time we’re learning how Hook got there.

O__O You’re right! There were all those pics of the CS hug and then it didn’t actually air did it? Hmmm. Was it a matter of cutting down for the sake of time? Or did the writers feel that would send the wrong message? Because so far, the vibe I get from Emma is that she thinks of Hook as a friend, and that’s all. Of course, a hug could be for a friend, but seems like the writers couldn’t be bothered to include it.

I agree. Of all the things to cut…and that’s what they did?
I don’t know if I mentioned this but in the end, it wasn’t Hook that made her trust. It was Henry and those finely honed instincts. And where did she learn them? Neal.

Maybe it was cut after the media seen it? I am glad anyway because Emma’s reaction to Hook in this episode seemed in character and how I would of expected.
