Matt said was before she call the cops to hook, i think was another kiss, and they she would call the cops. Also Adam said the hug was never on the script. That is why people should not listen to spoilers from paps, his words, He also said only confirmations from him and eddie count. oh wow. it was an acting moment so they cut it out. meaning A and E never wanted it.
That’s…very intersting.I’m confused. Why would the actors decide to act out a scene that isn’t in the script? That confuses me.
They do it a lot. They go with what feels right.

KeymasterI think we’ll see some papa parallels, and HOPEFULLY see what could have been had dearest dad taken a more noble approach to finding his son. Also. Monkeys.
I agree. Rumple said he went down many paths, but still chose the Curse.
Neal will go down many but ultimately choose another way.

ParticipantThis gonna be a bit long so bear with me…. *my emotions are all over the place, I can barely contain them!*
Ok right off the bat. I absolutely love Neal and his can do attitude. He wasn’t sulking, he wasn’t going to mope, he wasn’t going to take the fact that Emma and Henry were gone forever laying down. He didn’t listen to the Charmings. He went off and started formulating a plan with Belle.
*Seriously I’m crying right now* because after 3 months of hearing “Neal wasn’t in NYC, he doesn’t fighting for Emma!” excuses to hate him. It feels great having validation, to see his scene with the Charmings, that he IS FIGHTING FOR THEM. That even when everyone else lost hope he didn’t, not even with Rumple. He had the hope and determination of a hero! This GIF sums up my feelings for Neal right now…. *Neal I wanna just reach through my screen and give you a hug!*

There was sooo many SF parallels I’m sure you guys have posted already pages back.
But things that I loved:
- -Emma going to Neal’s apartment and immediately seeing the dreamcatcher right in front of her. Immediately know that it was Neal’s apartment. I love that Neal hangs it right in the middle of the room so he can look at it every time he steps in the apartment. And then later Emma regaining her memories back and thinking back to when she first saw the dreamcatcher again last year.
- – Love that another one of Emma’s memories is thinking back when Neal let go of her hand and fell through the portal. That was the pivotal “I love you too.” moment.
- -Emma experiencing her version of “Tamara” only this is a monkey with wings! And she was almost going to be officially engage to him too!
- -Emma and Henry wishing for a family. Same as Neal’s goal. Love the little moments between Emma and Henry with their “normal life”. You can tell this is what they’ve always wanted in every scene.
- -Emma loving the fact that she was a “Mother” for a year. Saying “It was a good dream”
- -Mama Belle and Step-son Neal giving hope to each other! *gushes* 🙂
- -Robin, reunited with Neal and Belle!!! They’re all connected. *The world is beautiful! sings*
- -Henry playing matchmaker with Emma and Walsh (not Hook, like everyone theorized) He recognizes the potential family man in Walsh. *Ahem* Neal is a family guy too! *wink* 😉
- -It was gut wrenching to see Henry having bad memories about Neal. I hope Emma can ease him into regaining his memories and telling him Neal wasn’t all that bad. But I predict there might be an emotional moment when Neal and Henry reunite. Henry might think badly of Neal for hurting his mom but Neal will win him over and make him remember the time they spent together. *I suspect tear-jerker moment!*
Thing debunked…
- -Hook turning into a “hero” nope…he only did it for EMMA and then he went right back to being the scoundrel pirate he so relishes and eager to hop back on his ship and sail off solo. It’s very telling that Hook outright says he’s a man of the sea and Emma is looking for family and a home to settle down in. It seems too early to tell, but Hook still doesn’t seem like the family material that Emma craves for herself and Henry. Since he was so keen on putting his hook back on the moment they drove back to Storybrooke. And Emma warning him not to frighten Henry with his hook.
- -Everyone’s prediction of the line “I tried the hero thing, it didn’t take.” Belonging to Regina, actually belonged to Hook as I theorized. People claiming that Hook changed for the better permanently because of influences of Emma has been debunked. I’m actually glad that the writers keep Hook’s pirate character intact. He’s not redeemed, not yet anyways. I think he arc strongly mirrors Regina. He’s slipping back into his old ways once he got back EF.
- -Hook and Henry’s “bonding” time involves Henry’s SASS towards Hook. And Hook calling him a SpitFire! Henry’s a mini version of sarcasm like his dad!
Overall this was an amazing episode. I was ready to accept a lot of Hook and Emma scenes, but there wasn’t as much CS as everyone says. I even loved that Hook was there just being himself, kicking back with some drinks with Emma.
The overall feel of this episode had #HOME # FAMILY #HOPE written all over it. Things that SF can strongly relate too 🙂

Exactly. There is no wound licking. There is just determination. He’s done this before. And he’s going to do it again.

Oh. Ouch.
Mama Belle and Step-son Neal giving hope to each other! *gushes* 🙂
YES!
Ahem* Neal is a family guy too! *wink* 😉
Just like his papa

Well done. “I’ve always been a pirate”

He is going to see Bae in Henry! I just know it. He’s going to remember all the history between him and Bae

ParticipantI re-watched segments of 3×12. Some things really stood out to me. Recall what Emma told Hook outside of the police station.
Emma: If, if what you’re saying is true, I’d have to give up my life here.
Hook: It’s all based on lies.
Emma: It’s real, and it’s pretty good. I have Henry, a job, a guy I love.
Hook: Perhaps there’s a man who you love in the life you’ve lost. Regardless, if you want to find the truth, drink up.I think it’s interesting that Hook tells Emma there may be a man in the life Emma lost. Hook was hoping maybe Emma returned his feelings, just as he was hoping his kiss would jog her memories. And yet, it was the potion, not the kiss which awoke Emma. Also, the words of Peter Pan probably still are in the back of Hook’s mind: “Neal, the guy Emma loves.” Hook is no fool. He probably knows in his heart that Emma loves Neal, not him. Maybe he’s still hoping he can win Emma, but she hasn’t given him any real reason to hope beyond that one kiss they shared in Neverland. I think Hook is also starting to realize that Emma’s idea of a good life is the one she had in New York….which just so happens to be where Neal’s home is. Hmmmmm…
Hook, by contrast, made it perfectly clear to Charming that he was still a pirate and that his idea of home is his ship. He was much more keen to split up with Emma’s family than to stick around with them. Remember the other conversation Hook and Emma had inside of her apartment once her memories had been restored.
Hook: Snow and the queen settled their differences. Frankly, I was bored. I had a life to get back to, a pirate’s life.
Emma: Glad to see you haven’t changed.
Hook: There wasn’t anything for me in the Enchanted Forest. Why would I stay?
[awkward silence, a forced toast, and Emma uncomfortably avoids making eye contact}Hook is implying he’d rather be with Emma than make a home in the EF, since Hook is not domesticated. He’s a pirate for heaven’s sake and he’s proud of that fact. He’d rather pursue Emma while remaining a pirate. Hook relished putting his hook back on in SB. Emma recognizes that about him, too, that he hasn’t changed. I think she realizes by his words that he’s happy being a pirate, but she’s probably also thinking to herself that he doesn’t fit into the life she’s made for herself in NYC. In my opinion, it’s clear that Hook’s idea of a happy ending is what he had with Milha: a woman who fully embraced his life as a pirate and made her home on his ship. That’s his idea of fun, when he and Emma were climbing the beanstalk together or setting sail for NL. As a pirate, Hook lives for that sort of adventure and goes wherever the winds take him.
By contrast, Emma loves being a mother and having a settled life in NYC. She even seems to resent Hook a little for taking that away from her:
Emma: “You came all the way back to save my family?”
Hook: “I came back to save you.”What struck me is that instead of looking flattered or grateful, Emma looks down and away, rather than looking back into Hook’s eyes, and she sort of grits her teeth. Instead of romantic string music, the music sounds ominous. Emma doesn’t reply directly. She seems to be resentful, almost like she didn’t want to be saved. It seems to me that if Emma were really glad to see Killian or glad he came to save her that she would have acted happier. Yet, she seemed the opposite of happy. She seemed to be burdened. And what they say next says it all.
Emma: Who could have done this?
Hook: Someone powerful enough to reach into this world.
Emma: Any more specific thoughts?
Hook: Alas, you’re the savior, not me.
Emma: You know what I was yesterday? A mother. ‘Til you showed up and started poking holes in everything I thought was real. I drank that potion and it was like waking up from a dream. A really good dream.Emma is describing that it was like to be rudely awakened from a good dream. Her dream is all about being a mother to Henry. She loves her life in NYC. As she describes this dream, the True Love music starts to play as she thinks about Henry. I think that is a huge contrast, since just a moment before, the music had been ominous when Hook told her he came to save her. Emma didn’t really want to be awakened and she doesn’t wish to be the savior. All she really wants is a normal life with her kid. And the person who best fits into that life isn’t the one-handed pirate with a drinking problem. It’s Neal, Henry’s father, whose idea of home is with Emma. He even is a native New Yorker, which perfectly harmonizes with what Emma and Henry’s happy life.
Also, there was an interview with J-Mo in TV Guide which reinforces the idea that what Emma wants is to keep Henry safe in New York away from the craziness of magic.
What’s Emma’s relationship like with her parents now?
Morrison: Everything that we’ve gone through has informed them getting closer and closer. She’s also very excited for them to be having a child because she knows they never had a chance to raise her. She wants that for them. She’s being told she has something to do with breaking this new curse, so a lot of Emma’s motivation is that she wants to solve this so she can take Henry back to New York and keep him safe there.Emma wouldn’t want to go back to the Enchanted Forest and enjoy a life with her family?
Morrison: I don’t think that’s what she wants. I don’t think she’s there yet. The only thing she has to hang onto is that year in New York. That’s the first time she’s ever had a positive stretch of time in her life. When someone experiences something positive when they’ve never had something positive before, you’re going to cling onto it whether it’s right or wrong. She thinks this is how to keep Henry safe and have a good life."That’s how you know you’ve really got a home. When you leave it, there’s this feeling that you can’t shake. You just miss it." ParticipantLove that another one of Emma’s memories is thinking back when Neal let go of her hand and fell through the portal. That was the pivotal “I love you too.” moment.
And right before she drinks it, Hook says, “Perhaps there’s a man that you love in the life you’ve lost.” Then they went and included the scene where Emma told Neal she loved him for the first time in forever. And the shot they used of Hook in that montage, was from the Echo Cave, when she told Neal she’s never stopped loving him and probably always will. Just sayin! 😉
Hook and Henry’s “bonding” time involves Henry’s SASS towards Hook. And Hook calling him a SpitFire! Henry’s a mini version of sarcasm like his dad!
LOL Can’t believe I missed that. Love it!

I agree on all account. Every interaction between Hook and Emma demonstrated how completely opposite they are to each other. They have different goals in life and that’s a surefire way to have a relationship in shambles if you aren’t in agreement of what the both of you desire together. Every look Emma gave Hook was a look of exasperation not eagerness.
