KeymasterI agree with Macy. The whole, “Neal looks like he is going to die in this episode!!” is just silly. Think STORY people. It cuts Emma’s character development (and Henry and Rumple’s) off at the knees.

ParticipantGoing to put a link here about spoilers. You can read it here.
Agreed. That is an awesome post. You literally have to take the spoilers out of everything and not let the outside voices get to you right now to see the bigger story that they seem to be telling on the show. This is one of those times that I actually wish I didn’t know as much as I do (thought we barely saw any outdoor scenes again in this episodes aside from the farm house stuff so Phee and I’s theory about outdoor stuff not being the most important stuff still stands) and I really REALLY wish they hadn’t released the spoiler of doom now. I am remaining FULL OF HOPE that this story is going in a good direction and I will live for the day when they kick the crap out of that WW (seriously, she has GOT to go all ready). đ

Just keep holding on. Next week is going to be good. Again, we get the answers and I think some of us might be right on the money

ParticipantIf we’re going strictly off of potential foreshadowing from the actual plot, the character who has been alluded to as dying is Hook. (1) Emma called him dead guy of the year in 2×13 (2) Hook and Peter Pan have both claimed Hook excels at surviving (which suggest one day, fate will catch up with him) and (3) Emma called Hook a ghost in 3×12. Also, Hook is lying about something. Why?

ParticipantHaven’t watched 314 yet (my download finished while I was reading this thread, so gonna get to it ASAP) but all your comments made me go watch the 315 promo.
It does look like Neal’s heart is likely being controlled by Zelena in some way. Which allows for a storyline where Emma helps him get his heart back, (because the Tin Man does end up with his heart in the end, and Dorothy (aka Emma) helps him find a way to do it). And frankly, that’s something I’d quite like to see! Neal helped Emma get her family back and now she can help him get his heart back. YES PLZ! Seriously, you don’t bring a main character back into the story after several eps absence and then wrap up their entire story and kill them in that same ep. I’ll honestly be very shocked if that’s what’s happening in that scene between Neal and Emma where he falls down. I suspect the most agonising thing about this upcoming week will be certain parts of the fandom, because the promo really doesn’t convince me that Neal’s about to die.
Also, I’ve been saying lately that if that cemetery scene in 316 IS a funeral, that it could be Little John’s, if they need to kill him to defend themselves from his monkey-ness, and here’s the trailer for 315 with some of them being set upon by a Flying Monkey. With all due respect to Little John, if he does die, I’ll be claiming cookies.

ParticipantBack to 3×14, I have to wonder at the people who still think Hook is Mr. Right for Emma Swan. Here’s a post I read which describes it so well:
But as to going with Captain Swan⊠Here is the thing.
One of the things CSers have been adamant about is that Hook has always believed Emmaâs âlie detector thingâ whereas Neal hasnât.
Turns out Emma detected Hook was lying tonight but Hook was rather blasé about it.
What gives? I would have thought Killy the Hero would never hide anything from his True Love?
Sorry, Anon, but I still donât buy it. And I seriously doubt the show is going down the road you suggested. [x]

He does get a little defensive: “that’s my story and I’m sticking to it” despite the fact that he’s always been the one to harp on her super power.
Now, I don’t think he’s lying to be malicious or because he’s working for Zelena. I think he knows all about Neal and is trying to keep it under wraps at the behest of Neal himself. But he could at least acknowledge that she’s right, he’s lying. Isn’t something that Anti SFers say is that Neal doubts Emma’s superpower from SBandT

KeymasterAlso, after my rewatch.
I’m struck *again* by how Emma talks about how Hook’s life is one big adventure–every second in the EF was just one swashbuckling adventure until he came to save her. And of course he doesn’t deny it. Nor should he, he’s a pirate and always has been. And that’s totally 100% okay, I like Hook the pirate. But it’s not the life Emma wants. Hook mentions how moments with Emma are going through some jungle or forest or fighting, but that’s not the life Emma wants. That seems to be a big theme this season for her individually–what kind of life does Emma Swan want? In 313 she told Regina that she almost didn’t come back to SB to fight this new curse because she liked the life she had. The only reason she did was because she knew what Henry would say.
