ParticipantI’m struck *again* by how Emma talks about how Hook’s life is one big adventure–every second in the EF was just one swashbuckling adventure until he came to save her. And of course he doesn’t deny it. Nor should he, he’s a pirate and always has been. And that’s totally 100% okay, I like Hook the pirate. But it’s not the life Emma wants.
That struck me as well. They really seem to be painting their life views and desires as being incompatible IMO.
Also, can I take a moment to mention the death glare Emma gave Hook when he said, “Bit demanding isn’t she,” about Emma’s mother. LOL In S3A Hook called Snow a “slag” which Emma didn’t hear, but now he’s insulting her mother again? Dude, insulting the people you want as in-laws is NOT a smart move. 😛

ParticipantI can’t. I just can’t. I watched that dumb promo again and realized that there’s a beating heart in the whole background noise, and Bealfire is being controlled too… Why is this bothering me so much?? I hate Zelena! poor Emma now has to see her true love suffer this way? now she will have to run from him, just like Belle will have to run from Rumple? this is so not cool!
Oh, Regina, HELP them! come on…Phee, Emma can help Neal get his family back this time… she can save Gold

ParticipantMickstemp,
I like the idea of them putting a spin on the Golden Cap, though I’ve never considered that the Flying Monkeys were save-able before. I’ve sort of assumed that Walsh was the favoured monkey who got to transform between human and monkey, but the rest of her monkeys were just doomed to always be monkeys. I don’t think the sword Charming has in that pic is the sword he lost in 314. The round bit on the end looks a different size, and the hilt on the one he lost in 314 was patterned, but the one in the pic looks smooth. So even if the pendant IS something Zelena uses to control Neal, and Emma finds it by 319, I don’t think they also find Charming’s sword (yet). If the pendant WAS used to control Neal, and Zelena loses it, that means she’d need someone else’s heart to control if she needs the trifecta of heart, courage, brain to do what she wants to do, and that could be interesting if we see her having to scramble to enslave another heart now that she’s lost control of Neal’s. Maybe she’d go after Robin’s if he and Regina have connected by then?Phee, Emma can help Neal get his family back this time… she can save Gold
I wonder what saving Rumple will involve? Just stealing the dagger from Zelena and giving it back to Rumple so he’s back in control of himself? I kinda want it to be a case of Zelena having brought the Dark One back when it wasn’t supposed to have happened, so fate will course correct somehow and the Dark One WILL be undone, leaving mortal Rumple.
But yes, I’d love to see Emma helping Neal get his family back, the same way he helped her get her family back.

ParticipantI thought I posted this last night, but it’s gone. 😛
I wasn’t horribly impressed by “The Tower,” but one thing did strike me. I accidentally bumped into some of the spoilers from the Canadian viewing, mostly CSers raving (RAVING, I tell you) about all the “CS feels” in the episode and how it’s made obvious CS is IT. Made me dread watching.
Uh. I didn’t get that from the Emma/Hook scenes at all. If anything, she seemed annoyed by him. And certainly didn’t trust him, which, ya know, is kind of key for a relationship.

KeymasterI love the idea of Emma going on a quest to retrieve the lots totems!! And Phee is right (in another thread) that Rumple is the scarecrow and the dagger is his totem then it means Emma is going to save the most important people in her life.
Charming = courage = father
Rumple = brains = the man who ensured that she was the Savior
Henry = loyalty = son
Neal = heart = TRUE LOVE.

KeymasterJust a little something to think about
they aren’t going to spoil a major character death in a promo. That’s not how TV works. You tease the possibility but leave it open to interpretation. Think the promo for the Miller’s Daughter–“one of their own will die!!!!!” and then cut to flashes of several faces. So this whole, Neal is going to die in 315 (lol…really? I thought it was 316…?!) is just something to weather together here in our happy place

Neal = heart = TRUE LOVE.I thought the same thing, they are using the important men in Emma’s life to represent different things from the story. Intriguing. I think Henry might be her toto though. LOL
I’m a bit perturbed that one time we get Neal in the promo it shows him in trouble. With that out of my system. I’m with RG they are not going to reveal the big death especially the one that majority they think will be it the promo. Just like OUATW, no one saw that one coming in promos either and think it was the same with Graham. That just writing and tv 101. I worry more for Neal in the following episodes. However with the intensive closed set and two hour finale. I bet my bottoms that’s when the spoiler of doom and the wedding will occur.
Guys and Gals, I’m still worried about the Charmings. I just has this eerie foreboding. Charming saying he would die to protect his family. And Snow emphasizing we do this like they always do this, together. Oh why oh why we have to this spoiler doom. It just make me said for our characters.

Keymasterthe fact that set has been heavily guarded for the past few days and flat out closed in some cases (and then they move to studio) makes me think that there is something MAJOR happening that they don’t want leaked at all. I’m okay with 315 because like Ranisha said, TV writing 101–don’t spoil the death in the promo. The wait for 316 is going to be horrible but we gotta see what happens in 315 first. If Neal’s heart *is* missing (or a totem for his heart) then that’s a big juicy story and they cant kill him in the very next episode

YES PLEASE. And just for the record, trying to explain this theory to people via Twitter is VERY difficult in 140 characters or less, LOL 😉
MY FEELS!!! 😀 I really hope we’re on the right track with this and just from the preview alone, I think we’re really onto something here. My only question mark is WHY and hopefully that gets answered in the WW centric (3×16). Her motives and overall plan are what mess me up with this whole thing. I’m not sure how I feel about Rumple being the scarecrow instead of Belle (I’m stuck on him being the Wizard like figure) but it does make sense and could work out really well too. I like the idea of Emma having to go on a journey to find those token items because it’s also kind of a reverse from the Oz story where Dorothy goes on a journey WITH her characters and trying to find her way home. By looking for and finding those tokens for the three most important men in her life and in some cases helping them find something tangible (i.e. Neal’s heart), Emma will also be figuring out what home means to her and actually finding her way back home to her family. This journey could be a pretty awesome thing to watch and again, if they hadn’t released the spoiler of doom, this story would be SO MUCH MORE enjoyable because that just hovers over everything like a dark cloud. No way is Neal the death though…not if this theory works out and honestly, I will very much enjoy seeing a few people on Tumblr who have given a few friends of mine a lot of hardship over these last few months brought down from their high horse if things work out the way we think they will for the rest of the season. Nothing like a tooly person being brought down a peg or twenty by the actual story playing out on screen, LOL 😉
And one last thing: Just thinking about Emma having to actually find Neal’s heart again and possibly help give it back to him makes me warm and fuzzy inside. He all ready gave his heart to her a long time ago and if she’s the key towards him getting it back later this season, THAT would make me buy the S3 DVD in a heartbeat and would also give me a SF reunion that I would be watching over and over and over again for a very long time! 😀
