RG – Katie is doing all right but I don’t know if she’ll come here today or not. She and I have been chatting via DM on Twitter all morning and she’s exactly like me right now. We feel like something is just off about this whole thing and we both really want to hear from MRJ too. The Twitter silence is driving me crazy today. I need some type of closure or peace about him leaving the show. I will actually be happy if he left because the writing was crappy; I will be extremely upset if he’s leaving because of this cesspool of filth fanbase or if A&E actually thought this was a good story because neither of those makes sense and both make me angry. Right now I feel stuck in a depressed funk that I’m never going to get out of if I don’t get word from SOMEONE about this whole storyline. Did they really just ruin the entire premise of the show in one hour of television last night???! 😥

I don’t think anything is fishy–I think they are staying away because they know how horrible this episode was and how angry almost everyone is.

It’s at the bottom of my episode list. It’s worse that SBandT for me. August gets a happy ending, but not Neal.

They destroyed his character before they destroyed him. And they’re going to elevate all the villains and give them second chances and happy endings. But not the brave kind boy. Nope not him. No happy ending moment for him.

I’m telling you if MRJ wanted out it was because he was made promises that they renege on when they realize Hook was popular and began chipping away at his story & lines. I think MRJ was pushed away like Meghan was pushed away and Keegan and Raphael, when these actors realize their stories were not going anywhere and they got pushed aside.
I wish MRJ the best in all his endeavors and feel so bad that he got caught up in this mess and suffer through unnecessary hate.

I really liked Neal. I think the reason why this death was so striking was because he never actually hurt a fly in his life. So this time the price of magic seems vastly disproportionate. Even though the magic was very dark, the person using it, wasn’t.

Editing my sig banner just now, I re-read that quote of Neal’s that I’ve got in there, and “I’ll see both of you again.” BOTH OF YOU. BOTH. So either the writers have a malicious sense of humour, or there’s gonna be a loophole and Neal will indeed see Henry again.
I really hope you’re right about that Phee. Both Neal and Belle emphasized getting to see both Emma AND Henry again, and yet, there was no father-son reunion. Hell, Henry doesn’t even remember his dad. That kid is going to be so embittered when he does regain his memories. Is it possible for Henry ever to see his dad again this side of heaven? I have my serious doubts.
Yeah…that is one of the main sticking points for me. Henry never got to say goodbye to his father in a proper way. No child should ever have to lose a parent to death. The double tragedy is that Emma could have consulted the Blue Fairy, could have gotten a potion to restore Henry’s memories in time to say goodbye to his father, but deliberately chose not to do so! That makes me beyond angry that the writers seem to have chosen so maliciously to separate a father and a son forever without the son even remembering. To me, what is almost as terrible a fate as Baelfire growing up without a father is not actually getting to be a father to Henry! I want to use so many profanities right now because that is not just denying Neal his happy ending. It’s denying a boy a chance just to get to know his loving father. At least Neal knew in the end that his dad had scarified himself to let his son know he loved him and that he’d do anything to give his son another chance. And then Neal had to come across as blind to the cost of dark magic even though he’d spent centuries paying the price for his father’s dark magic.

I think he wanted out too. I think A and E made promises and never came through. And then MRJ got more hate than anyone ever should and it was the final straw.
His death gained us nothing. It was senseless.
