The Twitter silence has now gone from annoying to obnoxious. I can understand the cast maybe not wanting to post anything if this story affected them emotionally too (they all claim they love MRJ as a person so I can see them being upset about him leaving the show). I can even understand MRJ wanting to stay silent for a while. He probably doesn’t know what to say to his fans right now and I can’t blame him for any of that. IMO, he hasn’t done anything wrong but A&E helped write this crap. They need to come out and face the anger and disappointment from the fans. If you can’t stand the heat, then get out of the kitchen and Adam especially needs to grow a pair and take what he gets from the fans. It’s not about shipping anymore…it’s about brutally butchering a character after not giving us many scenes of him for almost three weeks and then writing the most senseless, ridiculous, and UNNECESSARY death in the history of TV. If we don’t see anyone tweet anything all day today I am going to go absolutely crazy.

Bitter party of one…..here I am. I am fighting the urge so hard to tweet Adam a snarky message about ruining my Opening Day with this crappy story. 😥

Yeah…that is one of the main sticking points for me. Henry never got to say goodbye to his father in a proper way. No child should ever have to lose a parent to death

It’s offensive for those who lost a family member/parent without getting to say goodbye

I don’t think anything is fishy–I think they ataying away because they know how horrible this episode was and how angry almost everyone is.

For an individual who claimed on his twitter he is always talking about neal in the writers room, it speaks volumes that he nor eddy (or even jane ) had the decency to put their money where their mouth were and write the episode themselves. Shows his death was an after thought and meaningless in their eyes if they couldn’t even be bothered. The lack of mrj stills for his final episode is appaulling looking back now.

Omgosh. yes. No stills. No sneak peeks. Nothing for him in his final episode. This does speak VOLUMES

Why did I watch this video? It huts.

    Crying again.

    Agreed.

    Has anyone heard from Schmacky?

S/he appears to have shut down their blog….That can’t be a good sign. I hope they come visit. I really want to hear his/her opinion.

I posted in another thread, dunno if I mentioned it here, but I do think there’s a way they could write themselves out of this and bring him back without it feeling completely illogical. Because if Rumple was never actually dead in the first place, then it doesn’t really make sense that Neal would die when they switch places. If Rumple was just stuck in the Vault, but not dead, then logically, Neal is just stuck in the Vault, but not dead. The disappearing vs not disappearing bodies of Rumple and Neal is where this line of thinking falls apart, but seriously, if Rumple wasn’t dead, and was able to be sucked out of the Vault, then by rights, the same should apply to Neal.

I wish I could believe in this explanation, since it would actually make sense. The problem is we saw the light leave Neal’s eyes and witnessed his dead body. The only way I could see Neal ever being revived is if his soul traveled to another realm but could be reunited with his body, as happened when the Wraith consumed Philip’s soul. However, even that would seem ad hoc to me. The entire “dead is dead” rule of magic seems to have been broken by August, Philip, Blue and now Rumple (unless Rumple never actually died, as you said), so I guess we have precedent for the writers breaking their own rules. It just seems like there’s no getting around this one in a way that wouldn’t be contrived, nor am I sure that it’s even worth it even if they could. I feel like the writing has just steadily declined since s1 and only gotten worse. This episode was for me rock bottom. “Everyone gets a second chance,” my butt. Everyone except for the true love of the Savior.

They were confirmed as true love and then he goes and dies in her arms and now it’s go love again!!!!

    WTH.

I’m moving into the anger stage I think

Yup. I know I’m going through the stages of grief, and right now, I’m just p!$$&* which is ridiculous because it’s only a TV show for crying out loud! And a really bad one at that.

I need to just stop. I’m done wallowing. Time for me to move on I guess from this show if second chances, hope, reconciliation, and family reunions aren’t even things of dreams and fairytales anymore. Thank goodness I have reality to get back to. Thanks A&E for killing this dreamworld.

As much as I want to believe there is some loophole here, I think the Twitter silence is everyone avoiding the wrath of fans. It’s really over.

Were we blind? Did we miss some sort of vital clue?

I feel so confused and lost.

I don’t think we were blind to believe that what Emma and Neal had is true love. We were vindicated by that paramount and very keen observation. However, where I felt we may have been blind is that we allowed ourselves to believe that surely on a show about fairytales, hope, family and second chances that Neal and Emma having TRUE LOVE meant getting a happily ever after together. On a show that is supposed to be about getting another go at life, this was not an unreasonable nor even silly assumption to make, especially when Emma is the heroine of the tale and Neal her hero.
