KeymasterYeah. But neither was like, “byeeeee!” I just want a door slammed in my face. Not because I necessarily have any hope (I don’t), but it’s just so absurd and such crappy writing and inconsistency with like, the entire show and even dialogue 2 episodes ago… that can’t help but wonder if that weirdness is because of a loophole. I just want it to be gone. I want confirmation that it’s really that ridiculous and absurd.
I feel you! Apart from these tweets, there’s still so much other stuff that just feels off. Nothing about it feels resolved.
Because we have a 1001 burning Nealfire questions.
Nothing about this feels right–and not in that conspiracy sort of way. But in the obvious “this hurts more and more” way

KeymasterA Tribute to Baelfire. I haven’t written anything in the forums for a while…but I just felt like I needed to say something about him. I owe it.
Beautiful
Neal deserved more than he got. He had a truly terrible life and all he got was to die in the cold woods.

ParticipantI couldn’t help it…I left a comment on the TV Line article. I’ll probably get ripped to shreds but I don’t even care. 🙁
It might have been a bold choice but that doesn’t mean I have to like it. It was poorly written, totally OOC for Neal, a very badly hidden secret, and a total cop out for the show (the acting barely saved it for me). So life sucks and then you die? That’s the message of this show?! I thought it was about love, family, and happy endings. I guess you only get that if you’re a villain. I could have accepted Neal’s death if the story made sense (like him actually doing something brave to save his son or Emma which would have been actually in character) but that episode was one big WTH for me in so many ways. That said, MRJ is a total class act and I have SO much respect for him. I didn’t know much about him until he came to Once and now I’m a total fangirl who can’t wait to find out what project he’s going to be doing next. I hope another show snaps him up right away so he’s back on my TV again soon. Thanks for everything Michael and BOO to the writers for a poor choice and a badly written story. =(

KeymasterI honestly don’t know why I should keep watching.
Regina mass murdered an entire village. New love and a son.
Rumple manipulated to ensure an entire world was cursed. True love and family.
Hook has done various things that I’m not even going to go into because I’m just exahausted. He’ll end up with Emma.
But Neal? Neal gets to die.

This is perfect. I’m sorry for any hate you get.
I’m so pissed off. And sad. And want to just scream

ParticipantYeah. there’s like, ZERO balance with redemption and just getting a good life because you have walked in integrity and done the right thing. ZERO balance.

ParticipantIt is too bold. Bold to the point of jarring and incongruent. Bold to the point of ridiculous and pointless, as if just to shock. This isn’t bold and daring, it’s bold and reckless. It has offended or off-put a large portion of the fanbase.

Death is supposed to mean something. This death was pointless.

ParticipantSo I just pretty much sobbed for real for the first time. Not because I thought of the ep. Because I thought of something like this happening in real life. (It does all the time) But you know? It’s so dark. It’s so tragic. It’s hardly heroic when you trash someone so OOC. Heroic was the portal. This was dark and tragic and let’s people play the blame game.
Just thinking about this actually happening in real life just slays me. It’s too dark. It’s too dark for anyone to handle. People do all the time and never get over it. Things like this ruins peoples lives. There’s no closure. There’s no “he was so heroic and brave” because it was all for a STINKING NAME and they could have gotten that in so many other ways—WITHOUT giving Zelena control of Rumple!!!!
So they have a name! woopdidoo!!! SHE NOW HAS RUMPLE. SO. SORRY. doesn’t seem very heroic to me. Even though Neal is definitely a hero. The way they tried to make him a hero was overshadowed by every stinking heroic thing he;s ever done throughout the entire show. Lame.Tragic. So tragic.

ParticipantBOLD STORYTELLING MY *$%(*#
It was not, not when his character wasn’t even utilize to the fullest extent before kicking the bucket. The story was jarring to the fullest extent. The only BOLD thing I got from it was that they’ve shocked me even more with their sloppy cop out rushed writing, like they have with August, Ruby, Astra and countless other beloved characters.
Never got a centric of his own
Never explored his past in Neverland
Never got a transition from when he got out of Neverland to Land without Magic
Never got to actually SIT AND TALK WITH EMMA ON REAL MATTERS (This really steams me up)
Never got to be a true father to Henry for more then a week. Or actually saying meaningful things to him.
Never got to explore more of his emotions with his father in front of him
Never got to explore his life within the 10 years he left Emma
WOW I can keep going on and on…. I’m just going to stop so I don’t cause myself more pain…
Yeah I’m sticking by what I said, I’m really not tuning in on Sundays anymore. It’s GOT for me now… at least I can take character deaths from that show to be more plausible and better written….
