When Hook asked Emma if she had ever been in love and Emma said no, it made me a little sad. We know from first season Emma had feelings for Graham but I guess, that was only it. She only had feelings for him and wasn’t in love with him. Then again, we also know that she was lying because of the flashbacks of her and Neal. I guess this episode confirms that their bond came from the fact in FT world, the huntsman spared Snow White and Emma and Snow’s daughter.

I don’t think Emma had enough time to fall in love with Graham. I think they were at the very beginning of getting to know each other and had an attraction for each other. It would have taken a long time for Emma to have fallen for Graham if it was possible because of how guarded she is.

I think Emma cared for Graham, trusted him, and understood what he went through–not the magic part, of course. 🙂 But there was a form of trust and friendship between the two of them, and Emma kissing Graham, I think, was her way of opening up to him and showing that she understands the need to feel. I never really had the idea that they were in love with each other.

    I agree.

It’s interesting to look back on the affect that Emma had on Graham, now that we’ve seen her touch Regina and make the hat work, and also touch the wardrobe which resulted in magical ashes. Kissing Graham was the only time she completely let her guard down with someone, (prior to her kissing Henry), and look what happened…she started to change how magic worked on him. That doesn’t mean it was a true love kiss breaking his curse, it just means that she let down her guard, opened herself up, and her power to change magic started to rev up.

I think she loved him a little, but she’s so emotionally damaged that she didn’t have time to actually fall in love with him properly before Regina murdered him. Plus, she’s lived her entire life in our world, so she’s a lot less inclined to the love-at-first-sight thing even if she wasn’t so careful with her walls. For what it’s worth, if he lived, I think they could have ended up True Loves.
