Appearently now he (they?) considers STM as one episode. 508 and 509 are going to air together. So he (they?) Consider 512 to be the 100th episode, but technically, 511 is the 100th episode. I’m sorry if anyone is offended, but the guy is an idiot who should really learn how to count. I just really hate the way he treats the show’s fans.

Looks like every single fan is as confused as can be. And yeah I am getting annoyed, because I start episode threads at another forum, with episode numbers. And last year I treated STM as one episode but regretted it because my numbers were different than every single listing’s site on the internet. >_<
And this year it’s going to be more confusing. Sigh. How is STM listed on the season 4 dvd set? As one or two?
Anyway I think that he can say the numbers are whatever he wants, in his head. But I will use whatever numbers make sense. Or whatever all the listings sites use. 🙄

Matt and I have been talking about this over the weekend and while we’re both confused, we think that is sort of how it is going, except that they are counting 508 as one episode but it’s going to be 2 hours. Then 509-511 airs the rest of the fall schedule. STM is back to being one episode instead of two so that 511 is the winter premiere and 512 is the 100th. Which…sure? I mean, I don’t get why it matters because it changes an entire seasons worth of episodes?
I dunno. Matt could probably explain it once he gets back.
RG, I just saw your post. And … I’m still confused. So 508 is two hours of “Birth”, not “Birth” plus “The Bear King”? And if 509-511 is the rest of fall, then isn’t 512 the winter premier, not 511?
But probably the rest of the internet will call the two hour ep 508+509, even if it’s Birth p1+p2. But would that still make the fall finale 511, and the winter premier 512? Or are the numbers going even crazier than that.
My job at the other forum just got way harder. 🙁 I guess I’ll wait and see.

OKAAAY. But that’s not how the season was actually described back during the summer. It was going to be 10 in the fall and 12 in the spring.
So now it’s an 11/11 split, with 508 being two hours (like STM) and then, likely, 521/522 being two hours.

But I’ve been thinking about it. He says that 5A is “10 nights, 11 hours”, and that “Broken Heart” is the penultimate, which means that it is still ep 10. In order for that to be true, the two hour ep HAS to be 8+9 together! (Or it would be 12 nights, which he says it’s not.) 😯
Night 8 = 8+9 – “Birth” & “The Bear King”
Night 9 = 10 – “Broken Heart”

As far as I know, abc didn’t order another episode (another hour if you want. abc treats it as one episode = one hour, that’s television standard).
Season 4 dvd is the only dvd that doesn’t list the episodes with numbers (I guess it’s because abc and production have different numbering), however STM is listed as “” Smash the Mirror part 1 & part 2″ (just like Operation Mongoose).
In different tweets he says there are 2 episodes after the 2 hour night and that the winter finale is set to air on December 6th. After calculations, it means that 508 and 509 are going to be aired together, which makes sense sinse they were filmed together.
The thing that I suspect that happened is that abc, which is the one to decide when episodes air, informed Adam that winter season will have 10 nights, but probably the fact that it means 11 episodes in 10 nights was somehow misinformed (probably assuming that by now that everyone knows seasons are divided 11/11). The production planned the spring premiere (then 511, Adam even says so in earlier tweets) to be the 100th episode. I guess after realizing the mistake and that they miscalculated, they decided to keep spring premiere as “100th episode” and just confuse everyone. So technically, the 100th episode is 511, but the whole 100th celebration will be on 512.
I think that after 508 and 509 air, he is either going to change his mind (again) and claim that 408A and 408B are considered one episode even though he already said numerous time they consider them to be two episodes (like Operation Mongoose) or he is going to say that 508/509 is one episode even though they have different titles. Personally, I hope it will be the latter. It would be fun watching fans squirm at figuring out how it makes sense."All your questions are pointless"
