I agree, though it can’t be too early in the season as there should be lots of other stuff to tie up from the finale as well and I’d hate to start off S3 with something so blah.

May 7, 2013 at 12:48 am #191756RumplesGirlKeymasterYeah, it would have to be like episode 5 (which if they stick to their pattern is the first “open” slot…episode 1 = no one centric; episode 2 = Regina centric; episode3 = Snowing; episode 4 = Rumple; episode 5 = open (season one it was Archie, season two it was sorta Doctor Whale))
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"May 7, 2013 at 8:44 am #191838PheeParticipantHadn’t been expecting to see David Anders in the guest cast list, because I didn’t remember him tweeting about being in town shooting for the finale, only for ep 21. We can but hope that they draw him into the magic vs science thing somehow early next season. If they don’t, it would be a terrible waste.
This also makes me wonder about the evacuation and/or destruction of SB. If something like that is happening, you’d expect to see Whale in amongst all of that. And Geppetto. And Augnocchio. Keegan isn’t even listed, and they couldn’t evacuate town without Blue being involved. Actually, I’ve had thought that whatever big stuff is going down in the finale that Blue would be seen at some point. Weird. Freya’s not there either. Are they really gonna introduce Wendy one week, and then show a bunch of Neverland stuff the following week and not show Wendy in some capacity at all in the ep? And the lack of MAP. It’s all very odd.
Was really hoping to have Laine’s secret identity revealed when we got a press release, dammit!

Plus it’s the finale so hopefully they’re keeping a little more under wraps so that we’re all still shocked, even hardcore fans.
That being said, I’m still trying to wrap my head around the fact that all we got of Dr. Whale was that one little scene. I fully expected him to be around at least a little more than that if they were going to go to all the effort of having him back (makes me wonder what was cut). Was hoping to see more of the townspeople that we actually know next week instead of just random people running around behind our main characters but guess we’ll have to wait and see.
The list certainly doesn’t look complete, that’s for sure. I’m glad with who we do see on there but it’s like they ran out of room and just said “Eh, forget it, let them be surprised.”
As for the Wendy stuff, her part is probably done for now. Unless they want to show us someday what her experience there was actually like and/or show Bae getting out and visiting her when she’s perhaps a bit older (they did cast a 19 year old so I think we’ll see her again aged up a bit for sure), I don’t think there’s any reason to see her again soon since Bae will presumably be spending a good chunk of time in Neverland learning how to do stuff like swordfight.
It bums me out too as I expected her to be around a lot more and we barely got a peep out of John and Michael. It’s so weird to think that they DIDN’T go to Neverland at all, just Wendy for a night and now Bae for many years to come. Still hoping for a return visit at some point, maybe a few – though how that would go I’m not sure – perhaps he learns to love it there once it’s no longer so evil and then he comes back to take them there and show them, they eventually want to come home and grow up, he’s learned to love it there and doesn’t want to leave permanently.
This is pure speculation from another thread about Rumple & Neverland: Rumple goes to NL to look for squid ink (mermaids – mermaid lagoon) and Bae panics thinking he’s on to him causing him to flee, perhaps with the help of Hook to avoid Rumple’s detection – would explain why Hook makes the comment about maybe Rumple’s son doesn’t want to be found (the way he said it sounded like he knew something…). Then Bae flees to our world but long after Wendy and the Darling children are gone.

I don’t particularly want a Tamara centric episode either because I feel like it would just anger me but I do think we need one, so let’s get it out of the way.
It doesn’t necessarily have to be a Tamara centric one. What drives her can be easily told in a few lines in an organization centric flashback showing Greg joining them and meeting Tamara. And, honestly, I’m not expecting much more than that. Regardless of Sonequa being a regular in TWD next season, I can’t see her surviving the finale after just “killing” the son of Rumplestiltskin. Gold is so not going to accept this passively, I’m fully expecting him to kill her in the finale.

What’s most curious about it is that both Adam & Eddy already said we’d see MAP in the finale, so it makes no sense to hide their presences in the press release.

Oh I hope you’re right and that he makes a necklace with her teeth and give it to Lacey !
May 7, 2013 at 12:36 pm #191865RumplesGirlKeymasterWarning: do not read if you really don’t want to be spoiled OR if you’ve avoided MAJRO spoilers I don't think Tamara or Greg will die because they kidnap Henry and take him (we think) to Neveland before the Charmingstiltskin clan follows.

We don't know at which point in the episode this happens. It's been said that the prophecy of Rumple's undoing will play this season, and I can't be the only one thinking its twist is that it's about Greg and Tamara forcing Rumple to choose between his life or his grandson's. In this scenario, I can see Rumple finding a way to save both him and Henry as well as giving Tamara a death we won't forget.

Good point. I’ll remain skeptical but if Rumple does off her…I’ll cheer just as loudly as the rest of you. 😀

For keeping Belle imprisoned for 30 or so years, Rumple sent a wraith against Regina to curse her soul for eternity. The least I expect from him is to attempt to top this for the “death” of the son he loves so much he’s spent a lifetime to find. 🙂
