This was definitely at the Disney Studios lot in Burbank, so the speculation about Lana filming for the Upfronts sketch grows.
[adrotate group="5"]April 15, 2017 at 8:52 am #336147bibliophileParticipantAre they really going to keep Rumpel and get rid of Belle?
Well those four were just the original four mentioned as under discussion. Deadline is repeating that I think. I still believe rumple is leaving
I don’t know whether to feel hopeful or not over this. Rumple is my favorite character and while I don’t mind him exiting the show at this point, I just don’t want him to die saving his family/the town AGAIN. He’s already done that and after all the crap with the show killing off Baelfire and the near constant bickering between Rumple and Belle we Rumbelle fans have gritted our teeth through for the last three seasons all I really want is to see Rumple and Belle walk into the sunset with the new replacement kid (adult or de-aged) to enjoy at least a few years of peaceful happy ALIVE happy ending. But at this point I feel like there is about 1/1000 chance of that happening. I’d be less surprised to hear that RC signed on for six more years as Rumple then to hear he was leaving the show on a genuine non-dead happy ending.

I guess he could die, but really if someone is going to die in the last episodes it is probably just going to be the Black Fairy or the Blue Fairy, whichever is the evil one. It probably isn’t going to be any of the main cast. I really think we are going to have a no one of consequence is going to die ending.
April 15, 2017 at 9:59 am #336155MattParticipantI am beginning to think that – especially given how they want the stakes to be in the finale – we won’t know whether or not the show is renewed until the finale airs. If they reveal who is or isn’t coming back then it makes it less compelling watching as you will know who will and won’t die. It would be nice to have some genuine surprises.
April 15, 2017 at 7:37 pm #336169MatthewPaulModeratorThough contract negotiations — with only some cast — have gone down to the wire, Once Upon a Time‘s Season 6 finale will provide closure where needed and won’t leave any storylines “incomplete,” the series bosses tell TVLine.
As previously reported, original cast members Jennifer Morrison, Lana Parrilla and Robert Carlyle, as well as longtime series regular Colin O’Donoghue, had been invited to extend their expiring pacts with the fairytale-based drama, while others (including Ginnifer Goodwin and husband Josh Dallas) might only guest-star as needed in any possible Season 7.

April 16, 2017 at 12:12 am #336179MichaelBlockedPretty sure Lana, Colin, and JMO are returning. Bobby is not but they can’t reveal anything cause it would reveal Rumple dies. I wonder if that’s the reason they’re not releasing the info.
Plus they want to keep it “secret” that Emma survives the final battle.
April 16, 2017 at 4:15 am #336180RainbowParticipantSo at the hot seat they said that the s6 finale would be like they always planned the show to end, however they are now saying this season 6 finale was planned in the beginning of the season, and for me, that makes more sense due to the fact that they would loose some original and long regular cast members and i don`t think was their plan to loose those, in fact if the show was supposed to end, there would be no need of a reboot.
"I offended you with my opinion? Ha, you should hear the ones I keep to myself".
April 16, 2017 at 4:42 am #336181MichaelBlockedLBR the ratings are horrific so no way will the show warrant anything but a S7. They won’t get another season.
April 16, 2017 at 9:52 am #336184PriceofMagicParticipantIf Rumple is leaving, in which case we’d lose Belle as well because her storyline resolves around Rumple, then RumBelle really need to get a happy ending. They’ve been constantly split up every season, any time they’re happy together they’re off-screen, to not have them end up happy together in what could be their final appearance would just be a massive kick in the teeth to RumBelle fans who have stuck by this show for the sake of this pairing.
If Emma and Regina are in a potential season 7, then surely Henry would need to be there too or have they both completely forgotten they have a son?
Likewise it wouldn’t make sense for Snowing not to be there because of Emma.
Actually it wouldn’t make sense for Rumple NOT to be there because the “heroes” are constantly running to him for help and answers. Belle would need to be there too so that she can be used for leverage.
Zelena is the only one you could get rid of without having too much impact on the story.
All magic comes with a price!
Keeper of FelixApril 16, 2017 at 10:12 am #336185hjbauParticipantWell, i don’t think the writers care about the audience. They don’t care if people are waiting for a happy ending for certain characters. They have, after all, killed characters that people cared about in the past. I, also, don’t think we can think of in story reasons why it doesn’t make sense to keep some characters and lose others. I don’t get how they keep Regina and not keep Henry and therefore not keep Emma, but that doesn’t mean that they might not do that.
