This situation sounds like Scrubs. The story had ended, every character arc was neatly tied up but then they tried to push it for another season with new characters and the series was promptly cancelled.

They are done filming for the season, so i don’t know what you mean.
Do we know that JM had her old hairstyle in the studio during filming of the wedding scenes? A fancy hairdo at a woman’s own wedding is a Thing That Must Be Done, or so I gather. Plus, a big life event is a convenient opportunity to update a twentysomething hairstyle for middle-age.

It’s currently April, and they won’t film again until July, if renewed. Jennifer’s hair can totally grow back back by the time it’s July. If she does keep it short, it wouldn’t be the first time the show has had to accommodate for cast hairstyle changes. They had Bobby wear a wig when he had cut his hair for Trainspotting 2, and even wrote the haircut into the show a few episodes later. I believe 2 years ago, Ginny had dyed her hair when she was at SDCC, so she had too had to wear a wig while filming at the time.

With the newest wedding photo that just came out, Jmo’s hair had to be long to be as up as it is, with the hair piece. Or at least that’s what it looked like. Plus, I seem to remember her longer hair the last few days of filming.
