Consider the fact that Regina is the one who has been in close contact with unicorn

Actual unicorns, yes. But the first unicorns we ever saw on the show were the mobile ones in Emma’s nursery. And the ones in the twister aren’t just random unicorns, they are the mobile ones. So Regina might be associated with unicorns in general, but I say those specific ones are tied to Emma more, and in particular her status as savior.

Slight crack theory here but what if Zelena is actually Regina’s grandmother whilst Glinda is Snow’s grandmother? Then you have each generation of two families being enemies with the other.

Glinda vs Zelena
Eva vs Cora
Snow vs Regina
Emma vs Regina

Henry unites both families.

Zelena may go against Regina because in her opinion Regina betrayed the family.

But then why is Zelena going after Regina? And how did she stay so young? And why would it matter who Zelena’s parents are if it’s those that come after that we’re supposed to be concerned with (and we know we’re learning who Zelena’s parents are)

Yeah. Third panel is Belle, Neal with Rumple with Zelena, who is having a stare down with Regina. We’ll also see a bit more of Oz. (where is Henry)

I’m not sure we’re going to see Belle or Neal on anything. ABC hates them……..and they are barely filming now.

My point is that the symbol is more biased towards Regina hence one can deduce that there is a substantial connection whereas the mobile’s association with Emma is one made automatically given the way it is introduced to us in the Pilot (Just as apples are a an automatic association with Regina ). The connection with Regina has to be parsed out indicating a greater symbolic significance.

I’m not sure we’re going to see Belle or Neal on anything. ABC hates them

They’re still members of the cast and the OZ side needs fleshed out. And I don’t know that ABC *hates* them. They are a business. They know what sells. They got S3A posters just like everyone else. They were included in the group shot for S3A. They got S3A headshots and promo pics. Having them on the Oz side makes way more sense since Rumple is probably over there as well.

Couple of Crack Theories

1.) What if Henry is captured and taken prisoner with Neal & Rumple and Belle rescues all 3 of them or theory number 2. Henry stumbles on Zelena’s secret of who she really is at the school and discovers she is holding hid father prisoner in OZ and he tries to get Emma, Snow, Regina, David, Hook to believe him but they don so he goes to grandma Belle who tells him that Neal felt that Rumple wasn’t dead and he went to search for him so Henry and Belle find the portal to OZ they cross it and Henry gets captured by Zelena and is put into the prison where Rumple and Neal are and they share a reunion Belle then some somehow meets up with Glinda who gets the message to Snow, Emma, David,Regina, Hook and they find the portal to Oz find Belle and they all rescue Henry, Neal, Rumple they get back to SB and then that sets up the battle between Zelena’s forces and everyone in SB to stop her and end her curse Something Happens to Neal but Hook saves him but the price is his life that makes Hook the hero his character is redeemed and SwanFire reunites. This gives everyone on both sides everything that want plus fit’s in with the story that Adam & Eddy want to tell.

What do you guys think too far fetched to be in the realm of possibility ?

I’m not disagreeing that unicorns are also part of Regina’s overall symbolic structure. I’m just saying *those* particular unicorns are Emma’s. I don’t think we should suddenly relegate them to another character who has never been associated with THOSE unicorns, whereas even in the most recent episode they were tied to Emma twice, in the FB and in the present day. “I like the unicorns”

Agreed. They’re unicorns we saw very recently, when they were hanging between Snow and Emma and they looked at them, touched them, and commented on them. Which frankly, seemed like a pretty random scene at the time, but we now have those exact same unicorns in the promo poster for S3B. I don’t think the poster is hinting at general unicorn stuff that could reflect on Regina, especially considering the recent scene with Snow and Emma, this poster is a very pointed reference to those particular unicorns, which are associated specifically with Emma.

If you re-watch the episodes in which Regina visits Gold’s shop invariably the mobile is present during their conversations or hangs in camera range. The mobile is rarely in shots involving Emma in the shop save on three occasions that I’m aware of 1) In season 1 when she wants Gold’s help getting Henry back from Regina 2) In season 1 when she and Regina seek Gold’s help in saving Henry 3) The aforementioned scene in the mid-season 3 break. The fact that the unicorns on the mobile also appear in blue and clear glass must also serve a symbolic function most likely pairs of opposites
