ParticipantFavorite line was from Henry: “Emma, your family needs you.”
Least favorite moment: Regina being tied to a tree was just a nightmare.

ParticipantYeah, I thought the fairies were throwing sleeping powder. It was how Snow and the Dwarfs were fighting that seemed out of character for the show (at least for the show at this point). The fairies could have given the ground troops some of their fairy dust so that none of the good guys would need blades.

Reminded me of the Disney’s Sleeping Beauty, when the 3 good fairies flew around the castle putting everyone to sleep after Princess Aurora pricked her finger on the spindle.

ParticipantLeast favorite moments: The fairies buzz like bees. Disturbing. That whole fairy sequence just bugged me. Ugh. Fairies attack? Scene would have been better done (and probably cheaper) if they just showed dust raining from the sky and Grumpy going “Thanks fairies” or whatever.
The painful line deliveries during the dream sequence. I know, it was supposed to be a dream, surreal, obviously so. And that Regina apparently sees all these people like this, out to get her. But how anyone got through that scene without laughing hysterically each time they had to shout one of those ridiculous lines is beyond me. ๐ Actually Ginny’s totally grinning in the background, perhaps it’s supposed to seem evil but I wouldn’t be surprised if she just couldn’t help herself.
Favorite moments: Emma being told off by her Mommy. Awesome.
Several Regina line deliveries this week were just MADE by Lana. “I think I’d rather just get rid of her.” And “It would appear sacrifice is overrated’ in that purring patronizing voice I think we last heard when she was telling Rumpel Belle was dead.
Snow White and the Evil Queen’s apple scene. Pretty much every second of it. Especially when in response to hearing Charming will be killed, the hitch in Snow’s voice as she says “no”. And the amusement and fascination that the queen has after she sees Snow take a bite. She really conveys quite well how satisfying she finds it watching Snow suffer. Amazing work by both of them.
And I love when Emma bends down to talk to Henry, so she’s looking up at him, crying. Aw, it tugs at my angsty cold heart.

ParticipantIn SB my favorite moments were:
– Mary Margaret actually talking for once to Emma like the mom she never knew.
-The nightmare. We know it was one but also do not know if it actually will happen in the future.
-Henry and Emma talking before he took a bite from the apple turnover.
My least fave in SB was the conversation between Regina and Gold it was not one of their better ones. Well acted by both but not the two better exchanges.FTL favorite moments:
-The moment we finally see the apple and Snow going to save Charming with the dwarves. They close out two different arcs from the same story.Least favorite moment was seeing the fairies attack. It kind of reminds me of parts of the Dreamy episode.

ParticipantThis was one of my favourite episodes so far this season for many reasons. I thought it had a great balance of FTL and SB, and also developed the characters from both worlds. I’ll separate my thoughts into the two:
Fave Moments of SB:
1) Henry’s speech to Emma (you go kid!)
2) MM FINALLY getting some fight in her, she’s acting more like Snow by the episode.
3) The dream sequence. I’ll admit that some parts were definitely strange, but I liked how each characters “true” selves were emerging.
4) Henry sacrificing himself, he is just too amazing. I really hope that he’s alive though, it seems pretty unfair to kill him off forever. (Except knowing this show, they’ll come up with something creative.)
Least favourite part of SB:
Jefferson is siding with Regina now? What? He seemed like a good enough guy to me in episode 17, besides the part where he was going to kill Emma. Does Regina really need more help? And no offence, but if Henry dies, I’m pinning it on her.
Favorite FTL moments:
1) The battle scene, Snow White was kicking some butt. And her face after Grumpy helped her the first time was so funny, it was just this moment of pause from her intense face to be all thankful.
2) The mirror scene, through my almost tears I was still smiling at how much I love Snow and Charming. My ship forever! Even though half the time I just want to reach through the screen and hug them and say: You’ll be together in the end, TRUST ME! Haha ๐
3) Snow eating the apple: I don’t know why but I can’t stop rewatching this scene. I think I’m just in awe of how well it was acted, and how it was such a culminating moment. And the fact that Charming felt it too, basically killed me ๐ it was so sweet, but then she just “died?” and sniff, these writers really know how to tear us apart (and then build it right back up.)
So to conclude, such an awesome episode! Many amazing moments…I can’t wait for the finale, and hopefully season 2? ๐May 12, 2012 at 6:56 pm #146446fairycutie86
ParticipantFavorite moments for me was the classic Snow White eating the poisoned apple, yah! That was so well done and done in an interesting manner. Loved how James could feel Snow dying. Regina had great eye makeup in that scene too, ๐
Also, Jefferson, yah! Love him. Great to see how he played in this episode.
I don’t really have anything that I disliked, more like something I was disappointed in. The siege of the castle was just not as epic as I was hoping. Maybe because I’ve seen so many medieval action movies with epic sieges that I guess this didn’t really do anything for me. I mean, yeah, awesome that the fairies and Snow and the dwarves kicked some butt….but it was just a bit of a letdown for me personally. I had very high expectations.

Oh, I totally get what you’re saying. It was a great sequence, but at the same time, I found myself cringing a bit. It was way too over the top I think. I was really surprised with that moment because of the acting. Still a great moment, but yeah, I shouldn’t have been cringing at the same time.

To me I think that the dream sequence can be a premonition of Regina’s final act. We do not know if she can tell the future. We knew Rumple could foreshadow things in FTL and kinda sorta knew Gold had an idea of what was going to happen. The election of sheriff for example. We do not know about Regina in FTL not Regina in SB.

Yeah it was kinda of a surprise for me. I was trying to figure out from the start of it whether it was real or not. In a way was upset that it was a dream and yet relieved at the same time.
