Just wanted to say hi and thank the creators of this awesome podcast and website! Heard about the podcast on Twitter and loved it, then finally decided to join the boards. I look forward to being in the company of people who share my obsession with this wonderful show. 😀

So, a bit about me…

My username comes from a line in the poem “Auguries of Innocence” by William Blake (couldn’t fit this in my sig because I ran out of characters). The stanza goes:

To see a World in a Grain of Sand
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand,
And Eternity in an hour.

Rumplestiltskin is my favorite character. Loved him–and Robert Carlyle–early in the show when so many people seemed to think he was just evil and creepy…then I was glad to discover I wasn’t alone. So yeah…I’m a “Dearie” through and through. 😉

I’m a sucker for fairy tales–that’s how I got sucked into Once. Alice in Wonderland is one of my favorites (love the absurd logic in it), so I’m especially looking forward to seeing it in the show. I love that the bar in Storybrooke (the one where they had the girls’ night out in Skin Deep) is called “The Rabbit Hole.”

I also love exploring folklore and mythology in general, and what it can reveal about the human psyche. I’ve just recently started getting into Joseph Campbell’s work in comparative mythology and religion, and I am intrigued by his views on the power of storytelling and its influence on psychology and spirituality.

I guess that’s enough for now. Glad to be here, and can’t wait to chat with you!

@mia: Oh, I don’t know about my theorizing skills–my luck seems to be mixed so far, hehe. I’ve just barely scratched the surface of this mythology stuff, so we’ll see.

And yes, Beauty and the Beast is another one of my favorite tales! Loved Skin Deep! Your quote about the rose is fitting. 😉
