In 311, in a flashback, we finally saw MM give young sad Henry the Storybook that finally awoke him from his fog.
MM said that she found the book in the back of her closet while she was cleaning, something she had done a thousand times before but never noticed the book.
Did the book magically appear? Did Henry’s loneliness call the Book into existence? Was it planted there?
And of course: one of the biggest questions of them all, after 2.5 seasons…who do you now think wrote the book?

I thought it was Pan but guess not :/ she could have wanted him to believe for her own motives

I dunno who it could have been planted by. If objects adapted and updated as part of the Curse sustaining itself, then I guess it’s possible that the Book just appeared?
December 16, 2013 at 10:03 am #231238once_dudeParticipantI still think that the Blue Fairy wrote the book, and called it into existence to appear to snow White after 28 years.
I wanted Snow to find it in Gold’s shop, but oh well. (thereason: everything is in Gold’s shop except for the story book)
The fact that it appeared unfortunately gave credence to a theory that cant possibly be true: the book was a byproduct of the curse.
and why is this untrue? Because Pinnocchio’s story, Frankenstein’s story, and a few mroe are not in the book.
Magic always comes with a price, so I pay with visa.

Yeah that’s what’s got me. The Book more or less APPEARED at exactly the right moment. That’s gotta be huge.

Yup. Blue is still at the top of my list because Blue in the flashback said that somehow Emma would become aware of being the Savior. Add the “final preparation” thing from S1 “The Stranger” and I think we got ourselves a sneaky author fairy.

I think Pinnochio’s story is in the book – I remember seeing a picture of Pinnochio in there during the 311

Yes you did. The picture was of Gepetto and Pinocchio from “The Stranger,” fixing the clock.

I have a theory that both Emma and Henry need both a magic potion and a talisman. Henry’s talisman is obviously the book. I think seeing the book again will help trigger those memories.
