How do I changed my username? I wasn’t paying attention to my username when I signed up and I ended up with “An Empy Heart” instead of “An Empty Heart.” 😆 😆 😆

HELP PLEASE!!! 😥 😥 😥

That’s funny. Until you pointed it out I always saw an Empty Heart when I glanced at it 😀

I wanted to change mine early on so the initials would stand for Sir James Matthew Barrie (sjm to sjmb). But couldn’t figure out how, when I enter my password it still doesn’t allow me to change it. But I think everyone is used to the sjm now, so I decided to leave it.

rumplegoldfan might know. She changed hers early on because she thought her original was too long.

This probably isn’t the official way to do it but my original name was rumplegoldfankristi but it got made fun of in a podcast because it was so long so I decided to shorten it.

I have two email accounts – one I use all the time and one I hardly use at all, plus my son has an account that he uses for specific things that I monitor. I created a new account with my new username (rumplegoldfan) using my secondary email address. Then I went into my orginal username’s account and changed the email address to my son’s email. Then I went into my new username’s account and changed the email to my primary email account. And then I think I went back and changed my old username’s email back to my secondary email address just to get it off my son’s account.

The system won’t allow you to have two usernames with the same email address so if you only have one email address go out to gmail (or some other free email provider) and create two new email addresses for free so you can go through the above process.

I’m sure Daniel could probably reset your username in system but I didn’t want to bug him and it only took a few minutes to do this. The only thing is that your join date will be different and your number of posts won’t be accurate but that didn’t bother me. For my first few posts with my new username I made sure to let people know it was still me.
