I agree. One interpretation of 2KFL 138 as a vanity plate is “took flight”

Good thinking! There have also been theories that he could be the Wizard of Oz, who is another character who “took flight”. I’m more inclined to the Peter theory though, (even though part of me would still love Bae to be Peter).

After reading this, my first thought was, “It’s a shame that last digit is an 8 because the MGM movie The Wizard of Oz was released in 1939.” Then I remembered (and confirmed on Wikipedia) that MGM bought the rights to the story and began production in January of 1938 – “Took flight in 1-’38” : 2KFL 138

😮 Nice detective work there! I’m now officially seriously considering the Wizard theory for him. He doesn’t really strike me as being old enough, but I guess we don’t know how time works in Oz yet and/or if/when the Wizard came back to our world.

Edited to add that I was just poking around on wikipedia to see if there was a Pennsylvania connection to Wizard of Oz somehow, considering that’s the state that was on the plate. Frank L. Baum, author of Wizard of Oz, his father’s name was Benjamin:

Benjamin Baum was a wealthy German American businessman, originally a barrel maker, who had made his fortune in the oil fields of Pennsylvania.

I’m shocked that they found Archie so soon. I thought we would get two or three episodes of Cora manipulating Regina as Regina tried more and more desperately to resist the temptation to return to evil since she had lost everything. Instead, Emma and Henry now know she is innocent of Archie’s murder and Emma is probably going to feel a little guilty that she doubted Regina (or Regina will be sure to make her feel guilty.) This could make Emma more likely to let Regina have some time with Henry, which could only serve to help strengthen Regina’s resolve to reform and help her resist Cora’s schemes.

So, it seems the writers have squandered an opportunity for an extended dramatic story for Regina by foiling Cora’s plan so early. Knowing these writers however, I suspect Cora is going to cook up an unexpected new plan that will come at Regina from a different direction. I can’t wait to see what it is!

How about if the newly-rescued town conscience is actually Cora in disguise? I know, the “What if X is really Cora?” speculation is way past the point of being a novel thought. I’d like to see Archie be evil for a few episodes, though.

I live in Pennsylvania and I can’t think of any connection to the Wizard of Oz and PA. The only hidden meaning behind the state is that the name translates to “Penn’s Woods”. Every school age child learns that very early on in history class. We have lots and lots of woods in PA. I think the state is still 3/4ths woodland.

I think the plate is in reference somehow to Peter Pan. I know Eddy and Adam said Peter wouldn’t be making an appearance this season, but that doesn’t mean his counterpart might not. Although it would be very “circle of life” to make Neal be Peter Pan, I think he’d be more suited to being a Lost Boy.

I’ve been wracking my brain and it seems like 2K is maybe “took” so maybe “took flight” is the real meaning. But then again I’m crappy at deciphering vanity plates.

I do think it has meaning. I also think we’ll come back to August’s bike having a Kansas plate. I can’t remember, but did he have his bike in “Tallahassee”? Was the same plate on it? I no longer have my recording of the episode so I can’t look back. I think the Kansas thing is going to be coming eventually. I thought awhile ago that Eddy and Adam said that August’s story wasn’t over. We need some type of resolution.
