Not only had my power of observation failed, apparently I can’t hear as well. (I still want to see screen shots. I’m positive I saw toes in those prints.)

ParticipantTheirs gotta be another wolf… Red never went outside… of her window.

ParticipantI think either Red has to feed in her wolf form, and Granny knows that, or she is just too strong for anything to contain her. I couldn’t tell if Granny (who is actually pretty awesome now) was guarding her front door, or Red’s bedroom door. But I just remembered that the cloak keeps her from transforming into a wolf, even though she never wears it.
Did anyone else noticed that Red and Granny seemed to be a little too trusting to a girl they found stealing their eggs and says that someones looking for her?

ParticipantI think Red got out the window and then killed those men and came back. They just didn’t show it happen.

ParticipantSo let’s suppose that not every happy ending is your ending up with someone, then wouldn’t it be better for Red to end up in SB rather than FTL? 1) she has skills and abilities she can use while living there 2) She wouldn’t have to remember what she is and did in FTL. Perhaps her Happily ever after is best not knowing:)
Tongue in cheek: maybe a wolf-man (shrek-like) is her true love and when he kisses her they both become wolves and live happily ever after:)

From wikipedia, “…the ability to shapeshift into a wolf or an anthropomorphic wolf-like creature, either purposely or after being placed under a curse and/or lycanthropic affliction via a bite or scratch from a werewolf, or some other means.” Granny related the hereditary history of their family – the family has the affliction of lycanthrope.
We don’t know how the affliction started – so it could still be a family curse. [Unless I totally missed that bit of information during the episode.]

Participant@ malchore adn KatherineLn: Granny said that she was marked and turned by Red’s grandfather, a werewolf. Once Granny had turned into a werewolf, she became pregnant by that same werewolf who turned her. Granny went on to have a daughter, Red’s mother, who was also a werewolf (but was killed by a team of hunters). Red was born with the werewolf gene, which was activated at age 13. Whereas Red inherited the curse genetically, Granny was turned into a werewolf via a bite mark.
@ RumplesGirl: I think you’re probably right about Red’s Happily Ever After. She sadly ate Peter (from the story of Peter and the Wolf). Instead, her happy ending may be self-improvement in SB.
But I think it’s not a who at all. I think her Happily Ever After is more being able to live her life, not being hunted, and being in control of her power.

ParticipantYes, if you look at the screenshot you can see how it’s mixed. The HEEL is the boot part of the print.
I also think it’s interesting that she doesn’t recognize the print as her own at that point. But maybe that’s because they stopped there. If she had gone further she probably would’ve seen that it was a woman’s smaller shoe and size.
I would like to add that the writers also did a great job setting us up with tracks that led back to her window. Although, I don’t understand how a hunting party could not follow those tracks as easily as she and SW did, especially in the snow; and was it such a novel idea to follow them during the day? Or did Granny go out and wipe them out normally? I don’t know, once I thought about it that just seemed rather weird, even though I know it goes to the FTL story.
hahaha. Exactly. When they were planning to go out and kill the wolf I was like, “Helloooooo. Why don’t you just give the hunters that plan, you two dumb girls?” I know that “If you want something done right, do it yourself.” But seriously, sometimes you do have to leave it up to the experts. Even if they weren’t smart enough to think of that themselves (their leader was obviously a coward too–talking about how he left them and trying to cover it up with that lame explanation!) they were still better fighters than her and Snow, surely? And they could’ve at least come for backup. Jeez!

Before the whole big reveal that Red was the wolf, I thought Granny was being so mean to Red, restraining her freedom like that. And maybe Ruby’s happy ever after is that she is able to live her own life.
