This is so much easier to understand in my opinion 🙂
Note: It looks like this person put Robin Hood before the fairy God mother that was killed I guess they don’t know who the wand belongs to either.
Did you see where they put this in their timeland ❓

ParticipantThe Robin Hood stuff almost has to come before Rumple kills the fairy godmother. So, if it IS in fact the same wand, it’s changed hands several times.
Here’s why:
Rumple made a deal with George (in The Shepherd) to get David to pretend to be James so that George could get money from Midas; his deal was to learn the location of a certain fairy godmother. George wouldn’t have needed that money if not for Rumple’s deal with Regina to cut off trade (in The Evil Queen), which happens simultaneously with Belle’s stay at the Dark Castle (Skin Deep; Lacey) because he mentions his new maid to her. Belle meets Grumpy while he’s still Dreamy (Dreamy) AFTER her stay at the Dark Castle (and has time for an adventure after that before being captured–The Outsider). Snow meets Grumpy as Grumpy (7:15 A.M.) sometime after meeting Charming for the first time (Snow Falls), which was after his engagement to Abigail. Snow and Charming attend Cinderella’s wedding as a happy couple (The Price of Gold), suggesting that this is after the wars defeating George and Regina, and their pregnancy is almost simultaneous with Cinderella’s (Alexandra is born on what is apparently Emma’s fifth day in Storybrooke–I’ve got some good evidence for that date–which means they would’ve been born 5 days apart if not for the Curse). There might be a month or more between Snow’s meetings with Charming and Grumpy, since Red says it’s been a month since her last food delivery in 7:15 and she seems to know who Snow is pining for at that point, so with a very very tight timeline, one could argue that -maybe- George’s kingdom goes bankrupt fast enough for some of this to happen before Robin Hood steals the wand, but I struggle making it work. There’s just too much stuff that would have to happen in the couple of months that Belle is with Rumple for it to make sense.
For Rumple to get the wand, this stuff had to happen:
1. Regina makes a deal that includes cutting of trade with King George (The Evil Queen)–within 3-4 days Rumple mentions his new maid (Belle).
2. George goes bankrupt, has James try to prove himself worthy to Midas, James dies, Rumple makes a deal for David to fill in–in exchange for info on the fairy godmother’s location.
3. Rumple shows up when the fairy godmother is talking to Cinderella. That’s the bare minimum. But there’s all this other STUFF… you would kind of have to assume that a, there was a long time between the ball and the wedding for Cinderella, b, George went desperately bankrupt really really fast, and c, the war to take back the kingdoms also happened pretty fast. I dunno. I do think the timeline is probably tighter than I’ve made it, but I also think that leaves too much empty time that doesn’t make sense.

SpectatorTo save his home from the Ogre War, Sir Maurice seeks the aid of Rumplestiltskin. The two strike a deal; Rumplestiltskin will end the war in exchange for Maurice’s daughter; Belle. The girl complies and spends an unknown, significant amount of time as a caretaker for Rumplestiltskin’s Dark Castle. (“Skin Deep”)
A thief breaks into Rumplestiltskin’s Dark Castle to steal a magic wand soon after Belle’s arrival there. Rumplestiltskin easily subdues the thief and puts him in the dungeon to be tortured and killed. Belle frees the thief after her efforts to appeal to her master’s graces are unsuccessful. Enraged, Rumplestiltskin demands she learn a lesson by accompanying him as he finds and kills the thief. They find him in Sherwood Forest, where the Sheriff of Nottingham tells them the thief’s name is Robin Hood. Rumplestiltskin rebuffs Belle’s efforts to convince him not to kill Robin Hood but is finally pacified when he sees that Robin Hood stole the wand to heal the pregnant mother of his child. Leaving a child fatherless is one thing he is reluctant to do, so he shoots an arrow near Robin Hood and mutters that he missed. Back at the castle, Rumplestiltskin gives Belle access to his large library, but saves face by saying he is only doing so because he wants it to be clean. (“Lacey”)
Rumplestiltskin arranges to have Prince Charming take on his recently deceased brother’s identity (which he gave to King George earlier for an unknown price) so he may fulfill George’s agreement with King Midas to kill a dragon. In exchange for providing Prince Charming, King George tells Rumplestiltskin the location of the Fairy Godmother. Prince Charming succeeds, and is then coerced into an engagement with Midas’s daughter Abigail. Prince Charming says goodbye to his mother, and is given her engagement ring as a parting marriage gift. (“The Shepherd”)
Fast forward
This is the estimated time of Cinderella’s deal with Rumplestiltskin. Rumplestiltskin uses his newfound information from King George to track down the Fairy Godmother who arrives to see a Cinderella in rags and promises to make her dreams come true. When she is about to grant Cinderella’s wishes, Rumplestiltskin kills her and takes her wand. Cinderella begs that he help her get out of the servant’s life she is living. She promises to give him anything, so he agrees. He magically produces a blue gown and glass slippers and sends her to the ball. (“The Price of Gold”)
I guess what I am trying to say according to this article is that the Wand came from someone else it couldn’t have been the Fairy God Mother that Gold killed. So do you agree then that we don’t know who Wand this is then according to this article that Robin Hood took:?: It looks to be me he has two now but I could be wrong. 😕

KeymasterI don’t think we can know for sure if the wand Robin stole was the wand that belonged to Cinderella’s fairy godmother. I think it’s a better story if it is, but we have no definitive proof yet (and by definitive I mean the show hasn’t told us. But they do look 99.9% the same)

ParticipantRumple apparently has quite a collection of wands, presumably some of which came from other fairies. The fact that all of them look different but this one does look identical is a bit of an issue. It also seems to be the one that Rumple favors using for other tasks–like when he takes the magic from the mine to seal off the well.
But I just can’t math out a way for him to have killed Ella’s godmother before Robin Hood stole the wand. It just doesn’t work with everything else that has to fall into place around those events. And it’s all interconnected.

KeymasterI think the easiest solution is that he had the wand twice. Once he made a deal with the FGM for it, then she asked Robin to steal it back and she would let him cure Marian with it, and then Rumple wanted it again so he killed the FGM some time later for it.

ParticipantYeah, that sequence makes the most sense, even if it is a bit convoluted. But they’ve hinted that this particular fairy -really- ticked Rumple off at some point. Asking Robin to steal from him might qualify.

ParticipantIf Rumple saw a fairy using “his” wand, then he would certainly want it back.
Just a thought, but what if there is several weeks/months between Rumple sending Cinderella to the ball and Cinderella marrying Thomas? It would take time to organize a wedding so Lacey may happen between Rumple killing the fairy godmother and the wedding ball. It may also be a few weeks/months after the wedding ball that Cinderella finds out she’s pregnant. The weddding ball would take place after Skin Deep because Snow and Charming are happy together. Belle met Grumpy as dreamy after Skin Deep.

ParticipantWell, if we assume that Regina starts impoverishing George after Belle arrives at the Dark Castle (and she couldn’t have started before, because she was Wilma until the point that Rumple mentions his promising maid to her), and Belle doesn’t stay at the castle for more than about 3 months (she says she’s had a couple months to look around in Skin Deep on the day that she’s sent to town), it’s tricky to squeeze in everything. It’s -possible- but tricky. Also, there is a LOT that has to happen between the ball and the wedding then. Like virtually EVERYTHING that happens between Snow and Charming before their wedding. And a war.
I’m not saying it’s impossible, just that it seems unlikely. I do think I should move the ball closer to when James dies, though, since it seems that Rumple would’ve acted quickly on info on the godmother’s location.
(and of course this is all assuming that it’s the same godmother, maid, etc, but there’s little reason to believe that they would mislead us so much.)

ParticipantI hope once the series is over that we get a Once Upon a Time encyclopedia with an included time line which details when the events happen and how long before the curse they occured. We could then get definite answers to questions like How long was Belle kept prisoner by Regina? When did Lacey occur? How long did Belle stay with Rumple? Whose wand did Robin Hood steal? etc.
All magic comes with a price!
