If I were Rumple & someone showed me a little bit of affection (hug scene, curtain moment) after being the Dark One for centuries, I would never EVER think of mentioning that person to one of my worst enemies. I do believe it possible that he could have mention his ‘promising maid’ because he may have been feeling in a gloating mood. I mean he has a PRINCESS as a maid & the best servant Regina ever got was a huntsman that failed her… So that’s why I think that the part with Regina in his castle was before the Rumbelle curtain & hug parts.

A few things.
1) Regina found out about Belle somehow because I have never doubted that she intended to be on that road where Belle and she met. She knew Belle wouldn’t be going back (Belle said as much to Rumple) and had to find some way to convince her to return to Rumple. She wants Rumple weak and true love does that. So, the line put into the Evil Queen about a maid at least offers a clue that Regina knew about Belle.2) There has been a lot of debate recently over on Belle’s own character page as to if she is a princess or not. I believe the consensus is that she is not, but rather a daughter of a knight or minor lordling. Her father is credited as Sir Maurice, not Prince. It’s a minor point, but just thought I’d point it out.

Ok, in Skin Deep Rumple said to Belle’s dad “I can protect your little town.” But in Lacey Belle said to Robin “I made a deal to serve him in exchange for him protecting my–my kingdom & my family from the ogres.” Because she said ‘kingdom’ I thought she was a princess. But still I don’t think that Rumple would mention her after the hug or curtain scenes because after/during those parts he cared for her (at least a little) & he should know that Regina’s very smart so she would look into this “promising maid” that was worth mentioning by the Dark One…
April 29, 2013 at 4:58 pm #189716PriceofMagicParticipantSince the scene was about nobody loving Regina, I can see Rumple wanting to rub it in that he was more liked by someone than she was.
All magic comes with a price!
Keeper of FelixApril 29, 2013 at 5:43 pm #189733KebParticipantWell, there’s some disagreement about the curtain scene anyway. The way I’m having it play out in my timeline is:
1. Belle arrives, gets thrown in dungeon.
2. Next day, Belle gets instructions and drops the cup.
3. Regina demands the spell to change her appearance.
4. A couple days pass with Snow before she gets back to the Dark Castle.
5. The curtain scene happens during this time.
6. Rumple changes Regina back, mentions his promising new maid.
7. Robin Hood stuff.
8. The rest of Skin Deep.I think the curtain scene DOES change things for them, but with the Robin Hood stuff it isn’t the pivotal change. Rather, I think the hug is the pivotal one. That’s why I think the curtain scene has to come first. I also think that Robin Hood shows up less than a week after Belle’s arrival, so the timeline’s tight here with this sequence. But I think that Belle’s effect on him has to have been minimal for him to still be twisting Regina as he is.
Honestly, though, I could see fair arguments for the elements from the three eps to be in a completely different order. This is just what I’m going with sans more evidence.
Keeper of Belle's Gold magic, sand dollar, cloaks, purple FTL outfit, spell scroll, library key, copy of Romeo and Juliet, and cry-muffling pillow, Rumple's doll, overcoat, and strength, and The Timeline. My spreadsheet: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6r8CySCCWd9R0RUNm4xR3RhMEU/view?usp=sharing
April 29, 2013 at 5:57 pm #189738RumplesGirlKeymasterlol. “Some disagreement.” (for people who are interested, see pgs 3-6 of this thread)
I agree with 1-4, absolutely.
The rest…we’ll just go with your timeline since it’s so freaking impressive. Until A or E say otherwise."He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"April 29, 2013 at 6:41 pm #189745KebParticipantOh. OMG. Oh.
Rumple says “I’ll be back later” and leaves for a while mid-torture scene in 219. They’ve done this before with the back-to-backs that happen in similar timeframes…it’s probably easier to plan such things like that.
What if THAT is when he goes to Regina at the start of 220?
I don’t like it quite as much as my initial impression, but it would be like them to do this. I think I’m going to have to alter my timeline and put it there. That means that he’s been back from the Robin Hood thing a couple of days when Regina shows up again, though.

April 29, 2013 at 6:57 pm #189748RumplesGirlKeymasterIs Rumple wearing the same outfit to see Regina as he is when he is torturing Robin? That would help.
Lacey Outfit
I think he was wearing a lighter colored shirt in The Evil Queen *still searching for images*
EDIT
He appears to be wearing the orange-y shirt in The Evil Queen and a red one in Lacey.

When Rumple leaves (119) it’s daytime outside. @Regina’s castle it’s nighttime (220). Then when he’s going to torture Robin again, it’s daytime (119). So you think that these 3 specific events happened in 2 days?
