Can’t wait to see this. I don’t actually watch much tv but I like this show a lot.
1×04 Thoughts!
–It was really nice to see Sean. Ian Fleming was a good character and he had more to do here than Robin ever did post S3B of OUAT. This is what OUAT should have done with Robin; a sort of rougish, charming thief/spy with a good heart and tragic backstory.
–Can we petition to have Flynn be in a suit every episode? I mean, yum.
–I really can’t say enough nice things about the costumes.
–Flynn sees himself as a patriot; if he’s trying to save America and its ideals then I suspect Rittenhouse has somehow taken over America and has imposed a sort of corporate oligarchy. It would be pretty antithetical to everything America is supposed to stand for.
— Something bothering me: what kind of historian is Lucy? I guess general American history but she seems to be an expert in all periods of American history, from Lincoln to Hindenberg to WW2 (plus, apparently 1500 Catholicism). My training is in history and while I am knowledgeable about broad strokes of history, we have specialties.
–“It was in Skyfall…” LOL
–New Bond movie starting Timeless characters! That’s great.

I have not read any of the comments about tonight’s episode 4, PARTY AT CASTLE VALAR.

Lucy displaying the same shaking hand syndrome as EMMA … thinking it might be ONE of the symptom of PTSD; a symptom easily visualized and portrayed.

I loved how they sprinkled titles of JAMES BOND books and movies into the show. ….. SKYFALL, NEVER SAY NEVER and the made up one WEAPONS of CHOICE.
Finally seeing RITTENHOUSE ….. threatening RUFUS … NOT GOOD.

WHAT nationality is FLYNN? I was under the impression he was from some ex SOLVIET country…. but other have said he is American.

RITTENHOUSE and MASON are names of FOUNDING FATHERS. There is a RITTENHOUSE Sq in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. Mason also in a faternal order.
I didn’t expect the Back to the Future gag to continue this week, but okay, as long as the characters don’t break the fourth wall by talking about it, I’m happy. They like their pop culture references so much on this show, and I think those need to be done with stealth to be funny. Giving up the “I am _____, and this is _____” joke is a good sign, too.
I’ll be very disappointed if they don’t travel 20 minutes into the future, and I’d have one of them pose as a piano tuner who is startled into scraping a tool along the piano wires.
