Why is Mother Superior there? This just feeds into the suspicion that she remembers Fairytale land.
And I think the kiss Emma gives Henry does something…BIG. I’m not sure what, but it’s definitely something big.

May 9, 2012 at 11:12 am #146080SlurpeezParticipantIn the promo for the finale, we hear Emma say, “I love you, Henry.” I think she says that as she leans over Henry’s hospital bed and kisses her son on the forehead, and woosh, a mighty force blows Regina and Dr. Whale’s hair, releasing Henry from the sleeping curse like Prince Charming did for SW. Also, I think that immediately after Emma releases Henry from the curse, she’ll believe, and the camera will pan to David and MM remembering who they are.
Since we see Mother Superior/Blue Fairy in the background of the hospital with a peaceful look on her face, that pretty much indicates in my mind that she remembers her life in FTL. While we’d expect her as a nun to be on pastoral care at the hospital, I think she may also be there to see the sleeping curse break. I think she’s always known how Emma would believe. After all, she is the original power and would know how to ward off the effects of the dark curse on herself.
Also, I think that Emma may have a look of horror on her face as she realize August is turning into wood as she believes in magic. I think he will plead with her one last time to believe on his death bed. August may even put the seed of belief into her mind and convince her that only she can save Henry. I think that August will be around next season though, since Eion Bailey said in a recent interview that the writers were coming up with ways to incorporate his character into season 2 plot line. That gives me hope that Emma will believe in the curse in the nick of time to save August’s life. Even if August does turn into a puppet, it’s possible that after Emma believes, magic will fully come to SB and that the Blue Fairy will get her power back and be able to turn August back into a real man like she did for Pinocchio in FTL.
Another theory I have is based on a spoiler that we’re going to see a character in SB whom we’ve only met in FTL before. I think that it’s going to be Maleficent, who wasn’t exactly in favor of Regina enacting the curse in the first place. Perhaps Maleficent, who is also a powerful sorceress and could have preserved her memories, will tip off Emma how to break the sleeping curse and save Henry. She is the original author of the sleeping curse after all. True love’s kiss.
Finally, in the promo, there is a scene of Emma holding Henry’s storybook and it starts glowing. I think that will be the moment she actually believes in fairy-tales and that the book is true.

Yep. I’d originally thought that the scene with David and MM would be the final scene, but now I’m wondering if it’ll be earlier in the ep and we’ll see a bit of people reacting right after they remember.

I’m almost positive she remembers. There could have been any old nun at the hospital, but I think the fact that it’s her suggests that she rushed there right after hearing what was happening with Henry, so she could be there to oversee the events as the curse breaks.

I’ve been trying to figure out how the scene in August’s room will fit into the timeline. Will this be before or after she kisses Henry? If we assume that Henry wakes up when she kisses him, and that makes her believe which breaks the curse, then August wouldn’t still be telling her she needs to break the curse. But would Emma leave Henry’s side to go find August before she knows that he is OK? Doubt it. I could see her going to find August if she tries to call him to tell him what’s happened with Henry but he doesn’t answer, (which he wouldn’t if he’s bed ridden). Her horrified expression suggests she can now see what’s happening to him, so you’d think she’d have to believe at that point, right? Or maybe she doesn’t completely believe yet, but Henry waking up has caused her to doubt her denial just enough to see him? Or maybe she does believe, but her believing isn’t enough to completely break the curse and save him, and she has to go do something else, which is where that elevator and the sword comes in? So many questions. My head hurts now. LOL

That’s a comforting fact. August has become one of my faves and I’d be sad if they killed him off in the finale.

Obviously we don’t know yet what cause the breaking of the curse will have, but my guess is that it won’t bring people’s magic back. But if the curse evaporates, then I’d expect the hold it has on August to disappear, and he’ll be human again as a result. I hope.

She then goes to August and finds him dying in his room and he tells her she has to break the curse. Emma then goes and does whatever she is going to do and then she comes and kisses Henry on the forehead and everyone regains their memories. I do feel like there has to be more then that. This episode needs to be Storybrooke heavy.
