Okay, so the Storybrooke timeline has been bugging me since this episode aired, but I’ve failed at figuring it out for myself, so it’s time to ask the forums.
When exactly does the Regina/Gold scene from the beginning of the episode take place with respect to earlier episodes (and particularly What Happened to Frederick). I was rewatching that episode this evening, and struggling to figure out when there was time for their exchange to happen. It has to be after Skin Deep and sometime before the end of Frederick. Was Regina planning on Kathryn’s disappearance before she even knew she was leaving?
[adrotate group="5"]I think the scene has to be after Kathryn told Regina she was leaving town, but before Regina went to get the letter from Kathryn and David’s house. Kathryn was missing for a week. Mary was in jail for i think five days.
Okay, so there’s the day when Regina reveals to Kathryn that David is having an affair (Regina is wearing a a black turtleneck and grey blazer). Then the next day, Kathryn visits Regina again: “I thought after what happened yesterday I’d be the last person you’d want to see.” and tells her that she’s leaving (Regina is wearing a grey top, blazer and scarf). She’s then wearing this same outfit that evening as she burns the letter and we discover Kathryn is missing.
In the scene in Stable Boy, she’s wearing a grey top and red blazer.
So I’m down to before she knew Kathryn was leaving, costuming screw-up or Regina likes to randomly change her outfits back and forth throughout the day. (Yes, I have probably given this too much thought)@hjbau wrote:

If it was that though, it would have said ‘one week and a day ago’ on the screen.
