I think it’s very telling that Colin had to bow out of his band and decided to take it easy this summer. Perhaps all in preparation for a busy fall schedule as a regular for season 3? 😉

I certainly hope so! I’m sure he missed a lot of gigs this year which had something to do with it too but since that’s still the case since filming is over I hope that’s what it means! (I’d like to think that if he said it was a 1 and done season they’d welcome him back with open arms…)
Bring on Hook & Neverland for lots of Season 3 goodness!

Here, here!!!! I agree! I’d love to see a lot more Hook in season 3. It’s possible, there’s nothing anywhere that said his work on OUAT was a 1 and done season, so there is hope! 😀

TVLINE | I understand they find some things in common, as we get insight into Hook’s background.
Yes, you learn a little bit through Bae. You learn a bit about where Hook was from and about his background. You get to find out more about Hook and how he became the person that he is.😀

“Once Upon a Time” is bringing the Captain Hook/Rumpelstiltskin tension to a head in the Season 2 finale, titled “And Straight On Til Morning.” Star Colin O’Donoghue teases for Zap2it what’s in store for Hook as the season draws to a close.
“Fans can certainly expect to see some interesting interactions with Rumpelstiltskin, ” says O’Donoghue. “It’s such a complicated relationship … fans will have to watch the finale to see.”
Obviously, he cannot give away too much. But one thing O’Donoghue can talk about is Hook perhaps breaking away from Greg and Tamara — as we can see in this preview video.
“Hook, at this point, he’s in it for himself,” says O’Donoghue. “If [Greg and Tamara] cease to be of any use to him, then he would just as happily turn his back on them.”
“I think what’s interesting about the finale is you get a deeper layer to Hook. He didn’t want to hang out to see Regina be tortured. I don’t think he takes any kind of pleasure or joy in seeing anything like that,” O’Donoghue adds.
One thing we were disappointed to not see (so far) was Hook interacting with grown-up Bae, since we know he met Bae on his ship so many years ago. But O’Donoghue says we’ll have to wait and see.
“Who knows what happened when Neal fell through the portal?” teases the actor.
“For me, I’m always intrigued to see Hook with everyone because he has his own agenda. He’s not really tied to anyone at all. That’s the one thing that I really like about the character — he can react and get on with all people.”
The “Once Upon a Time” Season 2 finale airs Sunday, May 12 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.

I like this. He doesn’t have a “side” per se but I think learning that GOAT’s plan is to kill everyone, himself included, will bring him over to the Charmings.

Like RG said, I was not expecting this kind of info until season 3! As if I wasn’t already excited enough about this ep! If you’ll excuse me, I need to go bounce off a few walls now…
