So let’s theorize. Where is Hook originally from? NL? FTL and then went to NL at a young age? Another land?

Whatever history K&H have cooked up for him, I’m seriously impatient to learn about it!
May 10, 2013 at 4:47 pm #192826RumplesGirlKeymasterI really want him to be a Prince too. Maybe one who was sent to NL by whoever took his throne. I’m open to Ariel and Hook if it happens.

‘Once Upon a Time’: Colin O’Donoghue on Captain Hook’s ‘Complicated’ Bae Dilemma
“The fans are going to be really happy with the finale,” O’Donoghue tells THR.
Once Upon a Time hits the ground running in the season-two finale, “And Straight on ‘Til Morning,” that is partially set in Neverland. While the residents of present-day Storybrooke brace themselves for the end of the town when Greg (Ethan Embry) and Tamara (Sonequa Martin-Queen) detonate the trigger Regina (Lana Parilla) had put in the curse, in Neverland past Captain Hook’s connection to a young Baelfire becomes apparent.
With Hook saving a young Bae, is he on the road to redemption? Maybe so.“Hook rescues Bae out of the sea, obviously not knowing that this boy is who he’s pulled out. What’s really interesting for people will be to see Hook and Bae’s relationship and how they interacted with each other in Neverland when Bae was a boy,” fan-favorite Hook’s portrayer Colin O’Donoghue tells The Hollywood Reporter.
As the Irish actor describes it, their relationship is “interesting” and extremely “complicated.” In a chat with THR, O’Donoghue previews Sunday’s finale and the dilemma Hook faces as season two winds down. The Hollywood Reporter: What should we expect in Neverland past?
Colin O’Donoghue: It’s interesting because Hook obviously was in love with Milah, Bae’s mother, and he has this hatred for Bae’s father, so it’s a complicated thing. On the one hand, he loved one person, and on the other hand, he hated the other. How does he react to this boy? Does he decide to care for him because of his mother or does he decide to hate him or treat him in a bad way because of Rumpelstiltskin (Robert Carlyle)? I think people will be intrigued to see the relationship that develops.
THR: It seemed like Neal (Michael Raymond-James) in present day was killed at the end of last week’s episode. Can you shed some light on that?
O’Donoghue: Well, he was shot and fell through the portal so … you can definitely assume he was dead because he was shot.THR: Can you give us a nugget for the finale?
O’Donoghue: I can say that you get to see Neverland, you get to see this incredible world, you get to see Hook’s interactions with Bae and how they knew each other from before. The finale is definitely a fantastic. The fans are going to be really happy with the finale. It’s a great episode.
THR: Over the course of the season, have you had favorite moments or scenes?
O’Donoghue: I really enjoyed working on everything. The standout one for me was my first episode when I was dressed as Captain Hook standing on a ship sailing out to sea, and it was a surreal moment. That was one that stands out because that was a incredible thing to be doing and be able to make a living doing. [Laughs]
THR: Have the producers talked to you about season-three plans and how Hook plays into that?
O’Donoghue: We haven’t really discussed it. I know what I would like to see, whether or not those things will happen, who knows. [Laughs] But I’d like to see how Hook would interact with people and develop relationships in the town considering he’s been this lone wolf for a while on a quest for revenge. It would be interesting to see how he could develop as a character.
Once Upon a Time wraps up season two at 8 p.m. Sunday on ABC.

So excited that this is stuff we’ve discussed on the forum multiple times, and now we’re actually gonna see it playing out! 😀
develop relationships in the town
*sideeye* Was that a poor choice of words or a spoiler that the town will still be around next season and they’ll be going back there early on?
May 10, 2013 at 6:16 pm #192847RumplesGirlKeymaster“in the town”
Did he mean people who once lived IN the town?

Prime example of what I was saying in the MRJ thread. (Now, I love Colin and Hook but…) Once again we have an actor looking at things from the character view point and to Hook (and presumably Emma and the rest of them) NealFire is probably dead so he pointed out that you can “assume” that based on the facts that we know (ie: he was shot and went through a portal to goodness knows where and what kind of medical attention they may be able to give him).
He never says that he is dead and I think most of us know that the likelihood of that is zilch, BUT some will think that, as will some of the characters for sure, so it is a safe “assumption” based on the facts though unlikely – sets up a “shocking return” blah blah blah yada yada.
So…like with any interview take it with a grain of salt (see, I can be fair to both ships – I actually like both, I just have more problems with one than the other and the one I like most gets attacked the most).
On with the information: I can’t wait to see Hook & Bae interact!!! I adore young Bae and I am looking forward to filling in the gaps between young Bae and Neal. Also…Hook…interacting with the child of the woman he loves….yes please! Seriously can’t wait to see a different side of Hook that is blatant and obvious and undeniable. I need it just so that people will stop calling him eye candy and his fans delusional. THERE IS GOODNESS IN HIM. Also seeing Killian’s past and not just Hook’s would be awesome so hopefully we at least get teases of what that might have been like (ala Emma in the pilot talking to Henry about her younger days and then eventually finding stuff out).
Also I want more info on Neverland. We haven’t gotten to explore it much yet or seen it during daylight. I’ve been anxiously awaiting Neverland since we first saw Hook go through the whirlpool and I have so many questions / can’t wait for the little nods to various versions of the story.
Bring on more Hook! (And yes, more Bae – did I mention I love young Bae?? Plus it gives Hook a chance to work with a kid and show a softer side, which I am all for. I think everyone will have something to take away from this ep!)

Don't grow up. It's a trap.

Oooo I like that! And Henry does like playing with swords…. Looking forward to even more bonding moments! (Let’s face it, eating at the diner or swordfighting are considered bonding moments for Henry and I think it would be just as adorable as with Charming or Neal if Hook were to teach him something sometime!)
