Yeah we haven’t seen more than a few moments of “Mr. Gold.” He remembered he was Rumple as soon as he heard the name Emma. This explains the looks of shock on Regina’s face when he starts using “please” in 1×02 and again more often (and with some malice attached – like he clearly knew what affect it would have) in Skin Deep. That’s why she orchestrates him going to jail so she can finally get him to admit he knows who he is.
Regina laughed at him when she made the please deal because he wouldn’t remember it in the new land anyway. Hence his “what’s the harm?” He wrote a backdoor into the curse so that he would eventually remember, not remember the whole time so seeing the true Mr. Gold should be interesting. Regina & Jefferson are the only ones to remember the whole time. (Wish we could see some of Jefferson tonight, trapped in his house and trying to escape but can’t – just to prove that he was in fact trapped in his house with his memories until Emma arrived – too bad his schedule is super busy but I can totally picture Regina coming over to taunt him or something and it would settle certain debates for good).
The only sighting of the true Mr. Gold is collecting the rent so I’m definitely curious to see what he was up to when he didn’t remember he was Rumple. Hope we get at least a peak at that tonight!

I can see them giving us the smallest glimpse of Mr. Gold, but nothing more. The flashbacks are probably going to focus almost exclusively on Regina, Owen, Kurt, and Graham.
