What about in Regina’s office?

May 9, 2012 at 12:31 pm #146093SlurpeezParticipantWow, there are so many amazing scenes in this promo! I’m so excited for the finale! I also love everyone’s insights and theories.
I think the scene when Emma holds Henry’s book and it starts glowing is the exact moment she believe in fairy-tales which then unleashes magic in SB. We hear a voice-over of Mr. Gold/Rumpel saying, “Magic is coming.”
Also, I love the cat-fight between Emma and Regina in which we hear Emma threaten her, “If he dies, you die.” We hear Henry’s heart monitor flat line, which makes me think he appears to be clinically dead, even though we know he is just in a sleep resembling death. Then we see Emma fling Regina across in the hospital medicine room. Awesomeness! It’s like episode 7 all over again.
Also, nice catch about Emma holding a sword in the elevator shaft! The sword is probably Charming’s, which Mr. Gold probably had in his pawn shop. As a side note, we see Rumpel and Prince Charming fighting in FTL. Perhaps Prince Charming makes another deal with Mr. Gold that he’ll trade his sword for knowledge about where SW is being kept. Or perhaps Rumpel takes it from PC by winning the duel. Perhaps the sword has some magic properties that Emma needs to break the curse in FTL. Perhaps Rumpel enchanted the sword with magic while still in FTL anticipating that Emma would need it for some special purpose in SB.
I’m thinking that the scene of Emma in the elevator must be after Emma believes! I think the elevator is going down beneath the streets of SB. The walls appear to be concrete, like you would expect to exist under a town in the sewers. It doesn’t look like the mines, because if you recall episode 5, that elevator broke and plummeted down that sink-hole. Also, the mine shaft walls were much narrower. Although, it could also be an industrial size basement like that of the hospital, the court house, the heart vault, or even a library.

What happens if Regina changes he character and nol onger has a black heart. Maybe a new villan will arise. (You cut off the head of a snake, and a new one grows it is place. ) Who is Dr. Whale (driving me nuts) and how will he play into things.
Since in the promo they are taking back the kingdom, does that mean they are also going to try and take back SB? Will they succeed? And if they do, will it last?
Magic fades in our world, since the curse is made of magic, is it too fading?
So many questions, so few answers.

In the promo, there is a voice-over of either Mr. Gold or Rumpel saying, “Magic is coming.” I think that Emma believing will cause a new stronger form of magic to come to SB. One hint at this is the scene of Emma touching Henry’s storybook and it lights up and she has a eureka moment. Looks pretty magical to me.

I agree that Emma with a sword has to be after she believes. What if Regina is somehow redeemed in this episode. That would be wild. I am not sure that would work. Regina has to still be a villain next season. There is just too much back story to tell still.

I should’ve remembered that since I’m the keeper of Charming’s sword! 😉 Perhaps Mr. Gold simply collected the sword, along with many other possessions in his shop, as a result of the curse.
