I just had a really horrible realization. If Hook were to find Bae first, he could tell him that Rumple killed his mother, and set Bae off to kill his dad without Hook having to lift a finger. 😮

I think RUMPLE was still hurting from BAEL having gone via the bean probably made him lash out. Hook’s involvement and attitude did not help the situation. I agree RUMPLE ‘s response was way over the top. I usually like him and RUMPLE and Gold … but he is getting on my BAD LIST as unforgivable more and more.He gets everyone else (Cora / Regina) to do his dirty work with the curse. He kills indiscriminately for minor offenses power has gone to his head. As MR GOLD he usually behaves better except when it comes to Belle. But then he has not been really crossed or blocked yet except by the curse.

With the way this show is going with the drama, it just might happen 😮

I’m sure between what Milla and Smee could have told him, he would have more than enough to fill Bae in on. And wouldn’t it be that much more sweeter, in hook’s mind, for him to destroy Rumple figuratively before he ever moves in for the kill?

I could almost see Bae taking Maliha’s side. I mean her abandonment was before Bae could really remember her. And as bad as it was, I don’t think it was enough to kill her. I could totally see Bae telling Rumple that if she was happy he should have let her go. It really wasn’t too much different from what Bae did. He was trying to get away from the Dark One and she was trying to get away from the Coward. The only difference was that there was a way for Bae to get away from the Dark One without getting away from Rumple–Rumple was the one to mess that up–but there was no way for Miliha to get away from the Coward without getting away from Rumple.
I agree. Milha running off with Hook is NOT a reason to kill her. It was completely wrong of her to do, but Rumple killing her is truly evil and crossing the line. I think if Bae knew his father killed his mother he would be devastated and completely angry with Rumple.

I see it as her being honest about her feelings, explaining why she left him. She told him in the beginning of the episode that she wanted to runaway and start over. She was clearly bored with him. She offered for him to come along as well. *shrug* He seemed to ignore her complaints/offers/etc.
She was completely wrong to leave Bae, it was totally irresponsible and cruel of her to leave her son, but it’s still not a reason at all to kill her. People cheat and/or leave their spouses everyday. If everyone went around killing that person…. 😯
October 22, 2012 at 5:30 am #157531naomiParticipantUp until this episode I was still leaning towards Rumple being redeemed once he found his son, but I think killing Milha was, yes, truly evil and crossing the line. *sigh* I feel really sorry for Bae, because if the show is going to tie up its loose ends (which I think it will), he’s going to learn about that eventually, and I could see it becoming a pretty emotional twist if Hook uses it to win Bae over.
I think some sort of understanding between Rumple and Bae will be endgame, ultimately, but it’s going to be a very looooong and difficult road before we get to that.
October 22, 2012 at 7:16 am #157542gigiParticipantI’m not trying to defense Rumple, it’s never right to kill someone. BUT, in a sense, Milah was really deserved it. What kind of mother could abandon your young son (Bae must be 7-8 years old in this eps) to ran away with another man? Not to say her gratitude to her husband. She said she regretted for leaving Bae, then why didn’t she bring him when she left? She knew her husband was labeled as a town coward, poor and limb but she decided to let him raised their son alone while she went and lived the fancy life with Hook. She despised him, show no respect to him at all, and a liar, she was a total b*tch. Not to say she was stupid. When Rumple asked her why she left, how could she left their son. She said she was miserable and couldn’t stand him, because he was a coward and she never loved him! Seriously? When you’re being confronted by your husband (who is very powerful and dangerous now) for leaving your family, especially your young child, and you’re 100% guilty, shut up! She could have lived but she insulted him instead of apologized. Oh well.
