Regina found a letter that Rumple sent to Cora gloating about how great her first born was. I have…issues (besides it being really plot device-y)
1) Cora was sent to WL before Rumple trained Regina.
2) Did Rumple and Cora communicate a lot? I don’t send a lot of letters to my ex. Especially ones who literally rip out their hearts. Is this how Cora knew about Cora’s curse?
3) Did Cora ever try to get in touch with Zelena to see if she was training with Rumple?

And so after Cora smothered Regina, she turned to him for help and shoved her mother through the mirror. So Rumple had to have written that letter to Cora after she was sent to WL….

I think so. Remember how much she hated being called Wicked?
I don’t send a lot of letters to my ex.
Ofcourse not…. I stalk them on Facebook like a normal person 😛

Perhaps a certain white rabbit was their personal messenger? Didn’t Regina find the letter in…Cora’s stuff? Right? For some reason I thought that >> I think I looked away during that scene…

That part just doesn’t make sense to me. I think it was a training tool that he used to help boost Regina.
Regina read what she wanted to read into the letter.

Yeah, it doesn’t make sense. Rumple could have only sent Cora the letter after she’d gone to WL because he wasn’t training Regna before then, and he was training Regina when he met Zelena. But Regina read it multiple times for inspiration while he was being trained. But Regina was in FTL, and the letter should have been in WL. Does not compute.

That’s the only way it makes sense, if he wrote it for Regina to find, but he never sent it to Cora.
April 7, 2014 at 1:12 am #259702Hook’s GirlParticipantRumple had started to train Regina before the wedding and before sending Cora to WL. He taught her how to use the looking glass. I wonder if the letter was written when Rumple was first training her, before Cora was sent to WL. Do we know the time frame between Regina meeting Rumple and when Cora was sent to WL? Could that have been a few weeks vs a few days?

April 7, 2014 at 1:29 am #259716TheWatcherParticipantThe letter could have been inside Cora’s spellbook. The book that Regina took when she began her training with Rumpel and the one she used to summon him.

I have always wanted Regina to find out about the Rumple/Cora affair in a really dramatic~ way and confront him. I think it’s a major waste of mining interesting, existing drama.
What the letter was actually about was pretty lame.

Whatever. Regina letting Robin read that letter, and her reflections of how she used to read the letter over and over for inspiration was a very touching scene. She really left herself be vulnerable when she told Robin she had always thoug the letter referred to her.
Regina’s realization that she would lose the battle against her sister was touching. Which made it all the more meaningful when she walked into the street and stood toe to toe with Zelena.
Also kinda liked Robin the pick-pocket.I can’t wait for the conversation between Regina and Rumple….all this time, all these years, you knew I had a sister? And you never told me?
