KeymasterOUAT will likely have to air an episode on Easter Sunday this year, the very week after. That could equal two weeks in a row of the show taking noticeable blows. 514 and 515 would be the episodes under effect, for the record.
And those episodes (3 and 4) in an arc are typically when we begin a slow tick down anyway. Losing a point, usually. New series low seems probable. Maybe a 1.2? Even lower if FOX hypes this musical enough.

Wonder what this could mean for OUAT? Paul Lee was a fan of the show and always talked fondly of it, from what I recall.

Fun fact, Channing Dungey is Merrin Dungey’s (Ursula) sister.

Well it depends what she thinks of the show and its depiction of relationships, but I guess we’ll see more Ursula.

ParticipantThe Reaper says it might change his prediction for some shows.
ABC's Paul Lee out. Probably should change some predictions, but don't know enough to choose which ones. https://t.co/kld0MmAp9E

As far as I can tell, it means nothing. OUAT is safe for another year but a new head isn’t going to magically fix the ratings at this stage.

ParticipantI also think a reason for decrease in viewership could be the audience’s perception of quality. If the writing is subpar then viewers aren’t going to stick around. A change in host can affect the quality of a show if the audience feels the new person isn’t as good as their predecessor.
In many ways, humans are creatures of habit, they like their routines. TV viewing becomes a habit, when there’s a change eg a change of host/lead actor on a popular show, it upsets that routine. The audience has to decide whether or not to accept that change or find something better.
All magic comes with a price!

ParticipantPrior to this announcement, Ms. Dungey was executive vice president, Drama Development, Movies & Miniseries, ABC Entertainment Group. In this position she oversaw the development and production of all drama pilots, movies & miniseries and the launch of new series for ABC Entertainment.
Series Ms. Dungey has developed and launched include “Scandal,” “Quantico,” “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” “How to Get Away with Murder,” “American Crime,” “Once Upon A Time,” “Secrets and Lies” and “Nashville.”Prior, she was senior vice president, Drama Development, ABC Entertainment Group, since June 2009.
I actually read that as good news for us. She helped launch Once Upon a Time. So in a way it’s like one of her golden children. And also with the family relation, she may be more lenient to it.
