Well. For *me* (at least) this cements that S6 should be abbreviated. Not rising at all for a spring premiere/the 100th episode isn’t a great sign.
[adrotate group="5"]"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"A few things we should mention: the ratings tend to stay stead for at least 3 or 4 episodes before they fall, meaning I’d expect to see 1.3 for another 2 weeks, possibly three. The premiere was pretty well received overall, so if people hear that it was good, it might even cause the numbers to tick up (but I wouldn’t hold my breath). After that, typically, we lose .1 every other week or so.
So, if we were to make a really broad prediction:
5×12 – 5×14: 1.3
5×15-5×16 : 1.2
5×17-5×18: 1.1
From there it might tick up slightly because the hype for the finale is happening. However, everyone might want to prepare to see a 1.0 by seasons end. If it goes below that…well, we already have a S6 but if it goes below a 1.0, I’d say we’re getting a 12 episode S6, 6 episodes in the fall and 6 in the spring.

If we get an abbreviated Season 6, which I still am not sure will happen, I see it being 13 episodes like with Wonderland. So 8 in the Fall, and perhaps the final 5 would air during the Winter hiatus as opposed to the Spring. The issue here is that ABC still needs to schedule this out, in terms of whatever other shows they have to air on Sundays for the Season. They might just op for a full Season for the sake of scheduling, and so that enough loose ends can be tied up. After all, actually finding a replacement for OUAT is easier said than done, considering how most of their attempts at new Sunday shows have failed.

My prediction: 1.3 in the demo, matching last week’s demo.
