Granted everybody is lying to him but Emma concocted the fiction they are all playing along with. A rift between mother and son is on the horizon I fear.
For the sake of continuity, I hope so. Emma promised back then to never lie to him again, and though this is a complicated situation, she’s still lying to him, and I do hope he calls her out on it. Could set up some lovely angst for Henry to be dealing with at the start of S4. He shouldn’t be happy with anyone who has been lying to him, but I’d imagine Emma would bear the brunt of his anger.
I was thinking the voices were the prophesies he sees/hears? I was never quite clear on how that works… I know it’s like pieces to a puzzle…but maybe he’s getting too many pieces all at once?
I like the sound of that. It’d be like the scene with the Seer where he was taking her powers and he couldn’t make sense of all the information that was being bombarded at him.
Poor Rumple! I just wanna hug him!

Well, whoever the flying, fang bearing simian is…Emma didn’t shoot him…easy shot,bang, dead; David doesn’t have to fight it and they can both run after Rumple. So, a good guess is…the monkey is “someone”!
It’s for sure a “someone” lol.
And I think they are trying to set up the possibility of two
1) Little John–recently turned monkey who jumped out of a window and so far as we know, hasn’t been seen since
2) Neal–missing in action for awhile now.
Honestly, I see it going either way.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"I’ve never been on board with Neal getting Monkey-fied because I’ve been thinking that Walsh was a unique case, and not every monkey can transform between human and monkey, I’ve been thinking that once you go monkey, you never go back, so Little John is pretty much screwed. Emma’s not acting here like she’s discovered Neal yet, and we know there’s a scene with them, which I’ve been thinking IS their first meeting, where he’s very much human. So I may be totally wrong (it’s been known to happen once or twice LOL) but I’ll be surprised if that monkey is Neal.

I agree with you. It’s most likely the big guy. I think he may bight the dust.
Someone else pointed out that it sounds like Emma told David, “He’s hoping that Gold can bring back [Henry’s] memories.” That “he” is probably Neal, based on the synopsis for this episode which says Neal is dismayed Henry doesn’t remember him. Also, it says Neal finds out his father is missing. Perhaps Neal and Emma already had their reunion before this scene and Neal requests she help find his father with the intent of helping Henry remember him.

I’ve been rewatching. I think it’s “he’s hoping…” and therefore probably Nealfire. I’d say this is after Neal and Emma meet in the woods and discuss the Henry situation. Neal wants to get Henry his memories back, so he’s off searching for Rumple as well.

they aren’t really worried about HIM because he is ugly and unloved so no one will ever consider him to be a person with feelings. he is like that kid in school who is ugly and friendless, the one who is never invited to parties the butt of everyone’s jokes, yet is always approached when someone needs to copy from his homework. he is nothing but a means to an end for everyone. a beast indeed.
